ackground: Escherichia coli is one of the most
important bacterial pathogen that can cause several
disease to human being . In our study we try to
investigate the sensitivity resistance pattern of
Escherichia coli against three antibiotics ( Amikacin,
Nalidixic acid and Cephalexin).
Methods: For this purpose we collected 51 clinical
isolates of Escherichia coli from stool and urine of
outpatient and inpatient patients from different wards
of AL-SADER Teaching Hospital in AL-NAJAF
AL-ASHRAf, IRAQ, and tested by culture and
sensitivity test .
Results: The results appeared that Amikacin show
the highest percentage of sensitivity ( 66.66 % ) ,
while Cephalexin show the lowest percentage of

The ascaroid nematode Contracaecum rudolphii was recovered in large numbers from the
digestive tract of Phalacrocorax carbo collected in Baghdad area, Central Iraq. The infection
rates of the two sexes of the bird and some meristic and morphometric characters of the
parasite that allowed species determination of the nematode Contracaecum rudolphii were
discussed. This finding represents a new host record for this nematode in Iraq.

Tamoxifen citrate (TAM) is one of the most regularly used therapy in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Although it is a successful treatment, there is a problem with its bioavailability, accordingly this study was designed to improve TAM solubility and reduce its associated toxicity. TAM-Loaded poly (D, L-lactide –co- glycolide) nanostructure (TAM-loaded PLGA) has been synthesized and employed both in vitro and in vivo experiments. The blood hemolysis induced by TAM- loaded PLGA was 4.6 % at 200 µg mL^-1, indicating that this nano-construct led to increased red blood cell protection. In fish, a complex set of mechanisms deal with environmental stresses including hypoxia.
