The Effect of Body Mass Index of Patients with Post Myocardial Infarction Angina on the Heart Function
...Show More Authors

Background: Extreme obesity is recognized to be a risk factor for coronary heart disease. It is unclear whether overweight and normal weight also poses a risk.
Objective: The study aims to determine the effect of the body mass index on coronary arteries and left ventricular functions in patients with post myocardial infarction (MI) angina
Method: The study included 50 patients with the diagnosis of post MI angina consecutively admitted to the medical ward of Iraqi Center for Heart Disease. All patients underwent
coronary artery catheterization and Echocardiography for assessment of coronary artery and left ventricular functions
Results: The results of the study showed that there is a significant difference in impaired left ventricular systolic pressure between normal weight and overweight patients with post
MI angina .The study also revealed that (16.16%) of the patients with normal weight and (30.76%) of the patients who are over weight had three vessels disease.
Conclusion: left ventricular functions reflected by ejection fraction and left ventricular wall motion and state of coronary artery were better in normal weight patients than in over weight
patients.

Websites Quality Assessment of Iraqi Universities Using the WDQI Index
...Show More Authors

The Web Design Quality Index, known as WDQI, was applied to assess the quality of websites for six Iraqi universities, namely Basra University, Mosul, Muthanna, Samarra, Dijla University College, and Al-Isra University College. The results of the index showed that the universities of Basra and Dijla University College had the highest value, at 71.07 and 70.39, respectively. Its final evaluation metric was that the website of these two universities needed a slight improvement. As for the rest of the other universities, the final values of the index ranged from 64.72-69.71. When the final values of the index are displayed on the final evaluation scale, it appears that the websites of the four universities need many improvements. The study

Evaluation of Brain Stem Function in Diabetics with and Without Distal Symmetrical Polyneuropathy Using the Blink Reflex
...Show More Authors

Background: Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is the commonest complication of T2DM. Neuropathy is a descriptor for a spectrum of clinical and subclinical symptoms with varying anatomical distributions, clinical histories, and perhaps underlying pathogenetic mechanisms. The distal Symmetrical sensory polyneuropathy is chronic, symmetrical, length-dependent sensorimotor. Studies of the blink reflex have shown potential as a method of assessing brainstem activity.

Objective: The primary purpose of this research was to assess the function of the blink reflex in the early detection of cranial nerves and brain
