In this study asparaginase was extracted from fruit part of Capiscum annum then Asparaginase activity was detected and optimised. Optimum conditions for the activity of crude asparaginase were studied. Results showed maximum activity of asparaginase was achieved 140 u/ml when the enzyme was incubated with 200 mM of asparagines at 35 °C for 30 minutes in the presence of 0.05 M of potassium phosphate buffer solution at pH 8.

The reservoir units of Mishrif Formation in Majnoon oil field were studied by using available wireline logs (gamma ray, porosity and resistivity) and facies that derived from core and cutting samples for three wells including Mj-1, Mj-15, and Mj-20. The reservoir properties were determined and interpreted by using IP software. The results showed that unit D have the best reservoir properties due to high effective porosity, low water saturation and very low volume of shale. In this paper, thirty six samples of canned vegetables were collected randomly from
different markets in Baghdad city from October 2013 till March 2014. The study
includes identifying the concentration of some heavy metals (lead, nickel, zinc and iron)
by flameless atomic absorption spectrophotometery. It was found that the higher
concentrations of heavy metals in canned vegetables, was lead 1.179 ppm in olive,
nickel 0.9078 ppm in olive, while zinc 10.143 ppm green peas and iron 90.601ppm in
