Abstract
Objectives: The study aims to: (1) Find out the relationship among participants’ age, body mass index (BMI), and Health Belief Model (HBM) related to colorectal examinations among graduate students. (2) Investigate the differences in Health Belief Model constructs between the groups of age, gender, marital status, and education level among graduate students.
Methodology: A descriptive correlational study design which conducted in the College of Fine Arts – University of Baghdad. A convenience sample of 80 graduate students were included in this study. The data were collected by using a self-reported questionnaire which consisted of two parts (I) socio-demographic characteristics (II) Colorectal Cancer Screening Beliefs Scale. The statistical package for social science (SPSS) for windows Version 24 was used for data analyses.
Results: The study finding revealed that the participants’ age mean was 39.82. There was no significant association between all Model constructs and each of age and BMI. While, there was a positive significant association between participants’ perceived susceptibility of contracting colorectal cancer and their perceived severity of colorectal cancer. Furthermore, there was a statistically significant difference in the cues to action related to performing colorectal examinations between education level groups.
Recommendations: Future studies and instructional programs based on the Health Belief Model are needed on various segments of the Iraqi population with the goal of changing the public’s beliefs about performing colorectal examinations.
Background: Pharmacy internship programmes are driven by most developed countries to outweigh the ongoing growth in the pharmacy career which encourages pharmacists to play a significant role as healthcare providers. Objectives: This study examines pharmacy students' perception, satisfaction, challenges, and limitations with the internship curriculum. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted using an online survey with different elements to examine students' perceptions of various aspects. Result: Most students reported a positive impression regarding their internships, however, they were less satisfied with the allowance for filling prescriptions and compounding also, the college's follow-up was inadequate. Show MoreThis research aims at identifying the Iraqi EFL students' academic buoyancy in reading and listening skills and then finding out the difference between the two skills; Furthermore, finding out the five predictors differences of each of the two scales. Two academic buoyancy scales used to collect data. After achieving the scales' psychometric characteristics, they are submitted to the study sample. The sample of (100) female students selected according to the stratified random method from the second class at the Department of English\ College of Education for Women\ University of Baghdad. The results show that the students have academic reading buoyancy and have not academic listening buoyancy; the difference between the two abilities shows

The research sample consists of (246) students who are randomly selected from four distinguished schools (2) in the Karkh\1 and (2) in the Rusafa\2.
The researcher has constructed two scales for measuring the educational and psychological problems. She ensures the psychometric characteristics of the two scales. Alph-Cronbach and test-retest methodsare used to ensure reliability. Some statistical treatments are used to find out the aims of research. These treatments include the one-sample T-test, two independent samples T-test, and the Pearson correlation coefficient. The results show th

Show MoreThe aim of the current study was to evaluate the knowledge and perception of the fifth stage pharmacy students (college of pharmacy/ University of Baghdad /Iraq) regarding generic medicines. This study is a cross-sectional study carried in a college of pharmacy /University of Baghdad during the period from (November 2018- March 2019). The number of students included in the current study was 168 undergraduate stager pharmacists. A questionnaire was used to collect data of the study. Nearly 86% of the students said that they had heard of generic and brand medicines, and pharmacy was the main source of knowledge regarding generic medicines (66.7%). About (33.3%) of the respondents agreed that generic medicines are bioequivalent to br

This is because of the environment's low efficiency and of spending long monotonous time. This state is characterized by having lack of interest, difficulties in concentration, and the desire to leave the class. It is considered one of the most prominent forms of boredom widespread among students and the most severe and dangerous one that has negative effects and severe psychological and social problems. The current research aims to investigate a randomly selected sample of 335 students from the first and third grades at the directorates of education (Karkh and Rusafa) who suffers from academic boredom. This paper involves exploring the dynamics of four species' interactions. The system includes two competitive prey and two predators; the first prey is preyed on by the first predator, with the former representing an additional food source for the latter. While the second prey is not exposed to predation but rather is exposed to the harvest. The existence of possible equilibria is found. Conditions of local and global stability for the equilibria are derived. To corroborate our findings, we constructed time series to illustrate the existence and the stability of equilibria numerically by varying the different values

Oil is considered a commodity and is still an important and prominent role in drawing and shaping the Iraqi economic scene. The revenues generated from the export of oil are considered the main source of the general budget in cash flows.
Since the revenues consist of quantity and price and the latter is an external factor which is difficult to predict, The effect of any commodity on its price, which is proven in the theory of micro-economic, but it is observed through the research that the response is slow, which means not to take advantage of the rise in prices, by increasing the quantity exported, the result of several facto

BPH causes problems for patients with significant lower urinary tract obstructive symptoms, if not responding to medical therapy, surgical intervention is instituted. One method of the treatment of symptomatic BPH is laser prostatectomy. The understanding of tissue effects by laser radiation is very important for the safe clinical application of laser. Objective: study the 2100 nm Ho: YAG laser gross tissue effects in the prostate at different laser dose settings in an vitro model prostate tissue samples harvested from same specimen of open surgery prostat
