A random sample of 100 nurses are working in teaching psychiatric hospitals , Al Rashad (60), Ibn Rshud (20) Baghdad teaching hospital (10) and Al Kadhumeeain (10) , A questionnaire is construct for the purpose of the study. consist of 58 items which are distribute in two part, A – general information which consist from 8 items, B- Nurses Evaluation of Knowledge about substance abuse which consist from 50 items..Data analysis through uses of program SPSS version 20 by application the following :Descriptive statistical data analysis approach: by use the following measurements: Frequencies. Percentages. Statistical table. Inferential: through the application of the Chi –square test This test use for determine the association between the nurse ' demographic characteristics and the Evaluation Nurse knowledge about substance abuse. Results: The study founds 69% of the sample are male . 71% of them that are married ,40% 30-39 years old age ,78% ≤ 9 years career ,49% not enough monthly income. There are 57% have good level knowledge about smoking 41% have good level knowledge about alcohol There are 42% have weak level knowledge about drugs, There are asignificant association between knowledge smoking and marital status and There are significant association between knowledge smoking and level of education . Recommendations: recommend it, Increase implementation educational programs , Support nurses training about substance abuse specially drug abuse due to important of substance and Encourage researches about substance abuse

Studying the effect of copper on the p-ZnTe/n-AgCuInSe2/p-Si for thin films solar cell applications
...Show More Authors

A thin film of AgInSe2 and Ag1-xCuxInSe2 as well as n-Ag1-xCuxInSe2 /p-Si heterojunction with different Cu ratios (0, 0.1, 0.2) has been successfully fabricated by thermal evaporation method as absorbent layer with thickness about 700 nm and ZnTe as window layer with thickness about 100 nm. We made a multi-layer of p-ZnTe/n-AgCuInSe2/p-Si structures, In the present work, the conversion efficiency (η) increased when added the Cu and when used p-ZnTe as a window layer (WL) the bandgap energy of the direct transition decreases from 1.75 eV (Cu=0.0) to 1.48 eV (Cu=0.2 nm) and the bandgap energy for ZnTe=2.35 eV. The measurements of the electrical properties for prepared films showed that the D.C electrical conductivity (σd.c) increase

Enhancing the Removal of Methyl Orange Dye by Electrocoagulation System with Nickel Foam Electrode – Optimization with Surface Response Methodology
...Show More Authors

Azo dyes like methyl orange (MO) are very toxic components due to their recalcitrant properties which makes their removal from wastewater of textile industries a significant issue. The present study aimed to study their removal by utilizing aluminum and Ni foam (NiF) as anodes besides Fe foam electrodes as cathodes in an electrocoagulation (EC) system. Primary experiments were conducted using two Al anodes, two NiF anodes, or Al-NiF anodes to predict their advantages and drawbacks. It was concluded that the Al-NiF anodes were very effective in removing MO dye without long time of treatment or Ni leaching at in the case of adopting the Al-Al or NiF-NiF anodes, respectively. The structure and surface morphology of the NiF electrode were inves

Finite Element Modeling of One-Way Recycled Aggregate Concrete Slabs Strengthened using Near-Surface Mounted CFRPs under Repeated Loading
...Show More Authors

This study offers numerical simulation results using the ABAQUS/CAE version 2019 finite element computer application to examine the performance, and residual strength of eight recycle aggregate RC one-way slabs. Six strengthened by NSM CFRP plates were presented to study the impact of several parameters on their structural behavior. The experimental results of four selected slabs under monotonic load, plus one slab under repeated load, were validated numerically. Then the numerical analysis was extended to different parameters investigation, such as the impact of added CFRP length on ultimate load capacity and load-deflection response and the impact of concrete compressive strength value on the structural performance of

Classification of East Shatt al-Arab Using the Novel Scene Optimum Index Factor (SOIF) and Spectral Angle Mapper classifier
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Accurate land use and land cover (LU/LC) classification is essential for various geospatial applications. This research applied a Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM) classifier on the Landsat 7 (ETM+ 2010) & 8 (OLI 2020) satellite scenes to identify the land cover materials of the Shatt al-Arab region which is located in the east of Basra province during ten years with an estimate of the spectral signature using ENVI 5.6 software of each cover with the proportion of its area to the area of the study region and produce maps of the classified region. The bands of these datasets were analyzed using the Optimum Index Factor (OIF) statistic. The highest OIF represents the best and most appropr
... Show More

Effect of Adding Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus) and Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma Lucidum) to Broiler Diets on the Productive Performance
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Research on the effects of supplementing broiler diets with Lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) and Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum) was conducted in the field from March 22, 2022, to April 18, 2022, by the Department of Animal Production in the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad in Abu Ghraib. There were a total of 210 one-day-old Ross 308 broiler chicks employed in this study (10 birds per replicate), and they were fed a starter diet for the first 10 days, a growth diet for the next 11-24 days, and a final diet for the last 25-42 days. The birds were randomly assigned to one of seven treatments, with three replicates per treatment and ten bir
... Show More
