An evaluation for the performance of model pile embedded in expansive soil was investigated. An extensive testing program was planned to achieve the purpose of this research. Therefore, special manufactured system was prepared for studying the behavior of model pile having different length to diameter ratios (L/D). Two types of piles were used in this research, straight shaft and under reamed piles. The effect of model pile type, L/D ratio and number of wetting drying cycles were studied.    Leucocytes Migration Inhibition test in agarose was carried against PPD and Mycobacterium tuberculosisantigen . The aim of the study was the examination of the effect of birth control pills (Yasmin) on women who utilized the pills by measuring the percentage of apoptosis. The investigation was based mainly on the calculation of the apoptosis percentage of blood lymphocytes in women who used the pills for different durations. The results of the presented study was obtained from 25 women handling birth control pills and 15 women who had not used pills. According to the period of contraceptive pills treatment, the samples were classified into two categories: (2-5) years and (6-8) years. In this study, four sampling stations were selected on the Tigris River (Baghdad region) in order to determine concentrations, seasonal variation and pollution intensity assessment of heavy metals (Cd, Zn and Mn) in water, sediments and Barbus xanthpterus fish in this river. The study results showed that the mean concentration of dissolved heavy metals (cadmium, zinc and manganese) were 0.004 ppm, 0.023 ppm and 0.007 ppm, respectively. This study evaluated the toxicity of ciprofloxacin to spleen and liver when used for the treatment of mice infected with S. typhi for seven days. The dose concentration used in these experiments was 100mg/kg. Mice were divided into two groups . The first group (negative control) was not given ciprofloxacin, but rather a sterile phosphate buffer solution (PBS) as an alternative. Ciprofloxacin was administered to the second group.
