Objectives: To assess the pediatric nurses' knowledge about the nosocomial infection owl), and to fud out the
relatiouships between their knowledge about the nosocomial infection and demographic data.
Methodology: A descriptive study was carried out at neonatal intensive care units OVICUs) of Baghdad
Pediatric Teaching Hospitals. It was started from the end of April to the end of October, 2008. A purposive
sample of (28) pediatric nurses were selected. The data were collected by self-administered questiormaire. The
validity of the questionnaire was detemined through a panel of experts, while its reliability was detemined
through the pilot study. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics through the package
SPSS version (10.0).
Results: The findings indicated that the pediatric nurses who work at neonatal intensive care units have an
inadequate level of knowledge about all aspects of the NI. Nurses' age, educational level, and their years of
employment in the general hospitals, pediatric hospitals, and NICU have a significant association with their
knowledge. However, nurses' educational courses and updating knowledge about the NI have no association
with their knowledge.
Recommendation: The study recommends that all the pediatnc nurses should be exposed to educational courses
to raise their awareness about the NI. Encourage transmission barriers use (hand hygiene, personal protective
equipment), especially the most important and simple procedures to reduce the NI "hand hygiene". Further
studies should include other nurses in all hospitals, especially in the ICUs.
Global date palm production is steadily increasing and adopting technologies such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and deep learning can reduce costs, save time, and improve productivity. To address this issue, the authors have proposed an innovative approach that uses UAVs for high-resolution aerial imaging. These images, collected by the Department of Computer Engineering at Al-Salam University in Baghdad and the Institute of Machine Design, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Poznan University of Technology, support improved orchard management, palm counting, and yield estimation. Precise spraying and pollination are also facilitated and accelerated, reducing overall cultivation costs. The proposed methodology involves processing captur

Three factors were studied. 1st factor was three cultivars (Inqath, Rabeh, and Buhoth70). 2nd factor was seed priming (primed and unprimed seed). Seed were primed by soaking for 12 hours in a solution containing 300 + 70 mg L−1 of gibberellic (GA3) and salicylic (SA) acids, respectively. 3rd factor was irrigation with saline water (6, 9 and 12 dS m−1) resulting from dissolving sodium chloride in distilled water in addition to control treatment (distilled water). Randomized complete block design was used with four replications. In both seasons: the results sh

The Jet Plasma provides a highly energetic environment that accelerates nucleation and core–shell formation at low temperatures without toxic precursors. The synthesized nanoparticles exhibited uniform and stable structures, as confirmed by comprehensive characterization techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and zeta potential analysis. XRD patterns confirmed the crystalline anatase

The effects of MnO₂ NPs on kinetics and diffusion were also analyzed. The synthesized NPs were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), with XRD confirming the nanoparticle size of 6.23 nm. The adsorption kinetics were investigated using three models: pseudo-first-order (PFO), pseudo-second-order (PSO), and the intraparticle diffusion model. The PSO model provided the best fit (R² = 0.999), indicating that the adsorpti
