     Epilepsy is a central nervous system disease which is characterized by a recurrent seizure that distinguishes it from other similar diseases. Epilepsy may occur due to defects in genes that encode some receptors in the brain. For this reason, this study aimed to understand the association between Synapsin-2 (SYN2) gene and susceptibility to epilepsy. Blood samples were collected from 40 volunteers, including 30 patients suffering epilepsy with an age range of 26-49 years old and 10 healthy individuals with an age range of 25-53 years old. Background: Noise injury and hearing loss are significant problems in Nigerian community. The hearing loss sustained from noise injury can have disabled personnel and social consequences for the affected persons and their families. This study was carried out to quantify the noise level of over eighty (80) different sources using the sound level meter (GB: 2266204) at different locations in Akure, capital of Ondo State, Nigeria. This study tries to clear the correlation and association between asthma, obesity and leptin levels. Also it will work to indicate the main risk factors which play role in the elevation of leptin level within asthmatic patients.  This is a case control study conducted on (38) asthmatic patients and (20) healthy control who were closely similar by age, gender and BMI.
