Texture Features Analysis using Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix for Abnormality Detection in Chest CT Images

Texture is an important characteristic for the analysis of many types of images because it provides a rich source of information about the image. Also it provides a key to understand basic mechanisms that underlie human visual perception. In this paper four statistical feature of texture (Contrast, Correlation, Homogeneity and Energy) was calculated from gray level Co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) of equal blocks (30×30) from both tumor tissue and normal tissue of three samples of CT-scan image of patients with lung cancer. It was found that the contrast feature is the best to differentiate between textures, while the correlation is not suitable for comparison, the energy and homogeneity features for tumor tissue always greater than its values for normal tissue.

Performance of Immobilized Chlorella Algae for Removing pb(II) Ions from Aqueous Solution

This study aims to show the  effectiveness of immobilization of Chlorella green algae biomass in the form of bead for the removal of lead ions from synthetic polluted water  at various operational parameters such as pH (2–6), biosorbent dosage (0.5–20 g/L) and initial concentration (10–100 mg/L). More than 90 % removal efficiency was achieved. FTIR and SEM-EDX analysis of the biosorbent before and after sorption show differences in the functional groups on the adsorbent surface. Langmuir and Freundlich equilibrium isotherm, pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order kinetic models were applied to the experimental and results and show good conformity with Langmuir isotherm model and pseudo-second-order kinetic model with c

Developing an Automated Vision System for Maintaing Social Distancing to Cure the Pandemic

The world is currently facing a medical crisis. The epidemic has affected millions of people around the world since its appearance. This situation needs an urgent solution. Most countries have used different solutions to stop the spread of the epidemic. The World Health Organization has imposed some rules that people should adhere. The rules are such, wearing masks, quarantining infected people and social distancing. Social distancing is one of the most important solutions that have given good results to confront the emerging virus. Several systems have been developed that use artificial intelligence and deep learning to track social distancing. In this study, a system based on deep learning has been proposed. The system includes monitor

Determination of the Mathematical Model for Plasma Electronic Coefficients of the Earth's Ionosphere

In this research, electron coefficients such as total collision frequency (colt/N), total ionization frequency (viz/N), and Power (P/N) for different gases such as (Ar, He, N2 and O2 (in Earth’s ionosphere have been calculated by applying the Boltzmann equation utilizing BOLSIG +, and it has been discovered that there is a significant impact of reducing the electric field (E/N) on electronic coefficients under which (E/N) increases. In addition, influence of (E/N) on electronic coefficients was studied. Reducing the electric field was chosen in the restricted range (1-100) Td, and the electronic coefficients for gases in the limited range (50-2000) km of the Earth's ionosphere. A positive correlation has been explained between all the

Model Development for the Prediction of the Resilient Modulus of Warm Mix Asphalt

Increasing material prices coupled with the emission of hazardous gases through the production and construction of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) has driven a strong movement toward the adoption of sustainable construction technology. Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) is considered relatively a new technology, which enables the production and compaction of asphalt concrete mixtures at temperatures 15-40 °C lower than that of traditional hot mix asphalt. The Resilient modulus (Mr) which can be defined as the ratio of axial pulsating stress to the corresponding recoverable strain, is used to evaluate the relative quality of materials as well as to generate input for pavement design or pavement evaluation and analysis. Based on the aforementioned preface, it is

Calculating the density of electronic charge for hydrogen atom and ions like atom

The radial wave function R(r) and the radial distribution function P(r) as a function of (r), for the Hydrogen atom was calculated for several atomic state (1s,2s,2p,3s,3p,3d) The results were compared with Hydrogen like atom(He+,Li+2,Be+3).
