Background: Langerhans' cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a group of conditions affecting the reticuloendothelial system. It includes Letterer-Siwe disease, Hand-Schuller-Christian disease and eosinophilic granuloma and most often presents in childhood. Materials and methods: Twenty-five cases of LCH were diagnosed histologically and confirmed by CD1a antibody and assessed immunohistochemically using anti-RANKL and anti-RANK antibodies to evaluate osteoclastogenic mechanism. Isolation of fungi was performed from February to July, 2019. One hundred clinical specimens were collected from King Abdullah Hospital (KAH) Bisha, Saudi Arabia. Samples were collected from twenty patients of different ages (30 - 70 years old) ten males and ten females. The samples were collected from patients with the two types of diabetics. Specimens included blood, hair, nail, oral swabs and skin.  Specimens were inoculated on Sabourauds Dextrose agar containing chloramphenicol. Thirteen fungal species were isolated and identified. The molecular structures of acetophenonylidine-4-aminopyridine (I), 2, 6-dihydroxyacetophenonlidine-4-aminopyridine (II), 2, 4, 6- trihydroxyaceto phenonylidine-4-aminopyridine (III) and 2, 6-dihydroxyacetophenonylidine-2-aminopyridine (IV) have been investigated by IR and UV-visible spectrophotometry. The IR data indicate that the hydroxyl groups of these Schiff bases exist as tautomeric mixtures of free and bonded with the azomethine groups. The electronic spectra, effect of polar and nonpolar solvents, and the effect of acidity and basicity on the electronic spectra were studied and discussed.
