Study of the Influence of Different Optical Properties on the Image of Compound light microscope
...Show More Authors

Microscope images are characterized by a number of specific parameters, the influence of such parameters (intensity, magnification, numerical aperture, diaphragms aperture, segmentation, and edge detecting technique) on measurement in optical microscope images have been determined with using a powerful image processing methods. As one of the most widespread techniques in biological investigation and dynamic process, light compound microscopy has used to analyze the optical properties of biological images. The results indicate that a wide aperture allows maximum resolution and depth of field, but decreases the contrast. While a small aperture improve visibility and contrast but decreases the resolution. The results also show the best performance in focus with image that have a wide diaphragm aperture at high intensity. The analysis of statistical properties of images is acceptable, and there is unnoticeable changes in correlation coefficients between images at high intensity.

Preparing and Studying Structural and Optical Properties of Pb1-xCdxS Nanoparticles of Solar Cells Applications
...Show More Authors

Nanoparticles of Pb1-xCdxS within the composition of 0≤x≤1 were prepared from the reaction of aqueous solution of cadmium acetate, lead acetate, thiourea, and NaOH by chemical co-precipitation. The prepared samples were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy(in the range 300-1100nm) to study the optical properties, AFM and SEM to check the surface morphology(Roughness average and shape) and the particle size. XRD technique was used to determine the crystalline structure, XRD technique was used to determine the purity of the phase and the crystalline structure, The crystalline size average of the nanoparticles have been found to be 20.7, 15.48, 11.9, 11.8, and 13.65 nm for PbS, Pb0.75Cd0.25S,

Comparison of the Marginal Fitness of the Ceramic Crowns Fabricated with Different CAD/CAM Systems (An In Vitro Study)
...Show More Authors

Background: The marginal fit is the most characteristic that closely related to the longevity or success of a restoration, which is absolutely affected by the fabrication technique. The objective of present in vitro study was to evaluate the effect of four different CAD/CAM systems on the marginal fit of lithiµm disilicate all ceramic crowns. Materials and Methods: Adentoform tooth of a right mandibular first molar was prepared to receive all ceramic crown restoration with deep chamfer finishing line (1mm) and axial reduction convergence angle of 6 degree, dentoform model duplicated to have Nickel-Chromiµm master die. Thirty two stone dies produce from master die and distributed randomly in to four groups (8 dies for each group) accor

Assessing the Influence of Moisture Damage under Repeated Load on Multilayer Interface Bond Strength of Asphalt Concrete
...Show More Authors

The performance and durability of the asphalt pavement structure mainly depend on the strength of the bonding between the layers. Such a bond is achieved through the use of an adhesive material (tack coat) to bond the asphalt layers. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of moisture in conjunction with repeated traffic loads on the strength of the bonding between asphalt layers using two types of tack coats with different application rates. Using the nominal maximum size of aggregate (NMAS), the layers were graded (25/19) and (19/9.5) mm. The slabs of multilayer asphalt concrete were prepared using a roller compactor using two types of tack coats to bond between layers, namely rapid curing cut back a

Photobleaching Influence in Different Phases for Coumarin 307 and Acriflavine Laser Dyes
...Show More Authors

Abstract: Under high-excitation irradiance conditions to induce fluorescence, the dependence of photobleaching of Coumarin 307 (C307) and acriflavine (ACF) laser dyes in liquid and solid phases have been studied. A cw LD laser source of 1 mW and 407 nm wavelength was used as an exciting source. For one hour exposure time, it was found that the solid dye samples suffer photobleaching more than the liquid dye samples. This is because in liquid solutions the dye molecules can circulate during the irradiation, while the photobleaching is a serious problem when the dye is incorporated into solid matrix and cannot circulate.

Green Synthesis and the Study of Some Physical Properties of MgO Nanoparticles and Their Antibacterial Activity
...Show More Authors

Magnesium oxide nanoparticles (MgO NPs) were synthesized by a green method using the peels of Persimmon extract as the reducing agent , magnesium nitrate, and NaOH. This method is eco-friendly and non-toxic. In this study, an ultrasound device was used to reduce the particle size, with the impact on the energy gap was set at the beginning at 5.39 eV and then turned to 4.10 eV. The morphological analysis using atomic force microscopy (AFM)  showed that the grain size for MgO NPs was 67.70 nm which became 42.33 nm after the use of the ultrasound. The shape of the particles was almost spherical and became cylindrical.  In addition the Field-Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM) analysis sh

Comparison of the Optical Efficiency of Two Designs of the Maksutov–Cassegrain Telescope
...Show More Authors

The research aims to develop the best possible design for the widely used Cassegrain telescope. The system consists of two models of different designs: (a) the telescope consists of a Maksutov lens, a spherical primary mirror, and a secondary mirror attached to the lens; (b) it consists of a Maksutov lens and a spherical primary mirror, plus a non-lens attached secondary mirror located between the lens and the primary mirror. The image was evaluated and analyzed using the analysis tools in Zemax software. The results of the two designs showed that the telescope whose secondary mirrors are not adjacent to the Maksutov lens produces high quality image that is almost free from aberration, and then comes the telescope whose secondary mirrors

The Seismic Image of The Direct Hydrocarbon Indicators in Offshore Syria
...Show More Authors

The easternmost Mediterranean Basin is a candidate to be one of the most important hydrocarbon regions in the world, especially after significant gas discoveries in Levantine Basin in 2009. Offshore Syria is one of the easternmost Mediterranean areas which is still an unexplored virgin area. The seismic interpretation results of the study area showed encouraging evidences of considerable hydrocarbon accumulations within different sedimentary successions, which are Direct Hydrocarbon Indicators (DHIs). Indicators such as reflectivity anomalies (flat spots and dim spots) and polarity reversal were found within significant structural highs of Tertiary or/Late Cretaceous and Early Jurassic successions. Also, gas chim
