The researchers are doing their best to find the best methods and techniques to improve the lubricating oils specifications. In addition to trying to produce environmentally friendly and low cost lubricating oils In the present research a Nano-gel of titanium dioxide have been studied to be added to mineral base oil produced by Al- doura Iraqi refinery at volume percentage of (0.5%, 0.75%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, and 3%), and investigate its effects on base oil properties as well as its tribological performance. It revealed slight effects on viscosity index and density while an obvious rising in pour point and flash point. Remarkable reduction was in specific wear rate and coefficient of friction results, which import a friction reducing in machine parts.

This study use long duration of radiofrequency (RF)–magnetron sputtering to coat titanium (Ti) implant with hydroxyapatite (HA) to obtain a uniform, strongly adhered in a few micrometers in thickness. Durability of hot mix asphalt (HMA) against moisture damage is mostly related to asphalt-aggregate adhesion. The objective of this work is to find the effect of nanoclay with montmorillonite (MMT) on Marshall properties and moisture susceptibility of asphalt mixture. Two types of asphalt cement, AC(40-50) and AC(60-70) were modified with 2%, 4% and 6% of Iraqi nanoclay with montmorillonite. The Marshall properties, Tensile strength ratio(TSR) and Index of retained strength(ISR) were determined in this work. In order to reduce the losses due to evaporation in the stored crude oil and minimizing the decrease in °API many affecting parameters were studied (i.e. Different storage system, namely batch system with different types of storage tanks under different temperatures and:or different pressures). Continuous circulation storage system was also studied. It was found that increasing pressure of the inert gas from 1 bar to 8 bar over the surface of the crude oil will decrease the percentage losses due to evaporation by (0.016%) and decrease the change of °API by (0.9) during 96 hours storage time.
