Gravity Field Interpretation for Subsurface Faults Detection in A Region Located SW- Iraq
...Show More Authors

This research deals with processing and Interpretation of Bouguer anomaly gravity field, using two dimensional filtering techniques to separate the residual gravity field from the Bouguer gravity map for a part of Najaf Ashraf province in Iraq. The residual anomaly processed in order to reduce noise and give a more comprehensive vision about subsurface linear structures. Results for descriptive interpretation presented as colored surfaces and contour maps in order to locate directions and extensions of linear features which may interpret as faults. A comparison among gravity residual field , 1st derivative and horizontal gradient made along a profile across the study area in order to assign the exact location of a major fault. Furthermore, quantitative interpretations applied to residual field in order to detect the depth to the center of a major fault by adopting geometrical modeling. Interpretation results are helpful in delineating the exact locations of lateral changes within the subsurface rock densities around the subsurface major normal fault where sudden variations in gravity values take place. A major fault which extends in NW-SE direction detected at the eastern part of the study area with an approximate depth of 2.8 km to its plane center.

Different Volumetric Ratios for Preparing Ternary Cu2SnS3 Thin Films using Fully Controlled System of Spray Pyrolysis
...Show More Authors

Ternary thin films have been clearly deposit using fully computerized system of spray pyrolysis technique onto glass substrates maintained at 310±5 °C. A mixture of an aqueous solution of thiourea, tin chloride dehydrate and copper chloride was used as spraying liquid. The optimumvolumetric ratio of mixing was found to be [S/(Cu+Sn)=1] at pH =1.5, in the present work. XRD examination was revealed CTS in a monoclinic phase. Number platform speeds were employed in the spraying process. XRD peaks were described at 2? = 28.39°, 33.02°, 47.34°, and 56.39° corresponding to , , , and , respectively. The FTIR investigations were certified a numeral of the chemical bond of Cu-, Sn- and S-. The grain size was observed in the range of nanosiz

Spectrophotometric Study for Charge Transfer Complexes Between p- Chloranil with Anions of Amide, Azide and Cyanide
...Show More Authors

The complexes of para-chloranil as electron acceptor and the anions of amide, azide and cyanide as electron donors in aqueous ethanol as a solvent, were studied spectrophotometrically .     The reactions lead to the formation of charge transfer complexes. The CT complexes were stable in excess acceptor concentration, while they were underwent another transformations in excess donors concentrations.   Stoichiometries were determined, the molecular ratio was determined by continuous variation method (Job method) and is was  1:1 (donor: acceptor).   The maximum wavelength (λ max.), the energy (hÏ…CT), ionization potential (Ip) and activation energy (w ) of excited state f

Potential Positive Effects using Coenzyme Q10 Supplement as Adjuvant Therapy to Gabapentin for Managing Diabetic Neuropathy
...Show More Authors

The most prevalent chronic complication of diabetes mellitus is diabetic neuropathy. The pathogenesis of diabetic neuropathy is exacerbated by hyperglycemia-induced oxidative stress, which causes nerves to deteriorate in a programmed manner. Many clinical trials depend on supplement in an attempt to improve neuropathy symptoms such as (pain & tingling) and patient quality of life, one of them is Coenzyme Q10 which is reported to have an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, and was totally nontoxic and non-reported side effects. This study aimed to evaluate using a Coenzyme Q10 supplement as an adjuvant therapy to gabapentin to improve the clinical symptoms of diabetic neuropathy in relation to its anti-inflammatory and antioxid

Study the Effects of Machining Parameters on Surface Roughness for Free Form Surface Using Taguchi Method
...Show More Authors

The surface finish of the machining part is the mostly important characteristics of products quality and its indispensable customers’ requirement. Taguchi robust parameters designs for optimizing for surface finish in turning of 7025 AL-Alloy using carbide cutting tool has been utilized in this paper. Three machining variables namely; the machining speeds (1600, 1900, and 2200) rpm, depth of cut (0.25, 0.50, 0.75) mm and the feed rates (0.12, 0.18, 0.24) mm/min utilized in the experiments. The other variables were considered as constants. The mean surface finish was utilized as a measuring of surface quality. The results clarified that increasing the speeds reduce the surface roughness, while it rises with increasing the depths and fee

Study Of Optimum Conditions For The Removal Of Ruthenium And Cerium Using Freshly Prepared Manganese Dioxide
...Show More Authors

The adsorption of Ru and Ce were carried out using manganese dioxide as adsorbent. The Optimization of the adsorption conditions were studied as a function of shaking time, nitric acid, metal ions, concentrations and temperature effects.      A rapid initial adsorption on MnO2 is followed by a steady and slow increase of metal uptake. The equilibration time is reached after four hours shaking for Ru and Ce and    the adsorption is much better from one molar acidic solution and 90°C.

Determination of Optimal Conditions for the Production of Laccase Enzyme by Local Isolate of Bacillus sp.
...Show More Authors

Fifty isolates of Bacillus sp. were subjected to the first and second screening to detect the ability to produce laccase enzyme and select the highest ones production of laccase on Petri plates containing nutrient agar supplemented with Cu2+.
Syringaldazine was used as an indicator and substrate for the determination of laccase activity. Three isolates, which consumed less time to developed pink color were tested for the production of laccase quantitatively. The effective isolate B16 with significant amounts of laccase 1.84 unit /ml was selected for laccase study.
The optimization studies revealed that the maximum laccase production was achieved when the production medium was at the following conditions: 5 days of incubation, tempe

Experimental Study of Drug Delivery system for Prednisolone Loaded and Released by Mesoporous Silica MCM-41
...Show More Authors

In the present study, nanoporous material type MCM-41 was prepared by the sol-gel technique and was used as a carrier for prednisolone (PRD) drug delivery. The structural properties of mesoporous were fully characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption /desorption and Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR). The mass transfer in term of adsorption process (loading) and desorption process (releasing) properties were investigated. The maximum drug loading efficiency was equal to 38% and 47.5% at different concentrations. The PRD released was prudently studied in water media of pH 6.8 simulated body fluid (SBF) in according to "United State Pharmacopeia (USP38)". The results proved that the release of prednisolone from MCM-41

The nuclear matter density distributions, elastic electron scattering charge form
factors and root-mean square (rms) proton, charge, neutron and matter radii are
studied for neutron-rich 6,8He and 19C nuclei and proton-rich 8B and 17Ne nuclei. The
local scale transformation (LST) are used to improve the performance radial wave
function of harmonic-oscillator wave function in order to generate the long tail
behavior appeared in matter density distribution at high . A good agreement results
are obtained for aforementioned quantities in the used model.
