Some Cases on Cozy Partitions

The cozy partitions achieved more creativity by emerging with many topics in representation theory and mathematical relations. We find the precise number of cozy tableaux in the case  with any number of  and . Specifically, we use the MATLAB programme that coincided with the mathematical solution in giving precision to these numbers in this case.

A study of 22 Cases of Dorsal Inter-Vertebral Disc Prolapse treated by Thoracic Laminectomy

Background: dorsal spine intervertebral disc prolapse (IVDP) not a very common entity compared with cervical & lumbar region usually treated surgically.

Patients & method: 22 patients studied in the specialized surgical hospital neurosurgical department from Jan 2002 till Jan. 2006. the study included age, gender, cases. clinical features, diagnoses & surgical management.

Results: 22 patients were studied 76% of the patients are at the age of 30-60 with slight male predominance, all diagnosed by MRI & or CT scan, all managed surgically by laminectomy the results are compared with other studies.

Conclusion: posterior thoracic laminectomy at the dorsal region is a safe, simple procedure with good res

THE STUDY ON ABILITY OF ESCHERICHIA COLI ISOLATED FROM DIFFERENT CLINICAL CASES TO BIOFILM FORMATION AND DETECTION OF CSGD GENE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRODUCE CURLI (FIMBRIAE)

A total of 165 clinical sample included Urine, Swab wounds and Burns were collected from Baghdad Governorate. Results showed that rate all isolates of E. coli was 50(30.3%) and rate of urine infection was 46(92%) and rate of swab wounds infection 4(8%). Where was diagnostic based on streaked on MacConkey agar, then single colony was transferred to Eosin Methylene Blue (EMB). Identification some of the biochemical test included: Catalase test, Oxidase test, Indole test, Methyl red, Vogues - Proskauer test and Citrate Utilization test. Then confirmed by the Vitek - 2 Compact System. The ability of E.coli isolate to biofilm formation to be studied it is considered one of the most important factors of virulence and has role in causing injury an

Inhibitory effect of some medicinal plant extracts on some pathogenic fungi

Plants and their extracts preparations have been used as medicines against infectious diseases. In present work, Cassia senna (leaves), Piper nigrum (fruits) were extracted with different organic solvents to investigate their antifungal activities in vitro. However, the effective of plant extracts against some pathologic fungi (Tricophyton rubrum, T. tonsurans, T. violaceum, Microsporum audouinii, M. canis and M. gypseum) were evaluated at concentrations ranged between (0.005–5%) using agar diffusion methods and compared with standard antifungal drug (Clotrimazole). Results showed that methanol extract of C. senna and ethanol extract of P. nigrum displayed excellent inhibition on dermatophytes compared with standard antifungal drug, th

Evaluation of Poisoning Cases in the Poisoning Consultation Center and Forensic Medicine Institute within Baghdad area

Social factors may affect the available sources of toxic substances and causes of poisoning, and these factors may change over time. Additionally, understanding the characteristics of poisoning cases is important for treating such patients. Therefore, the present study investigated the characteristics of poisoning cases in Baghdad Poisoning Consultation Center (PCC) and Forensic Medicine Institute (FMI). Data on all poisoning cases reported in PCC and FMI during 2013 were retrospectively obtained from medical records. Total of 1131 reports of poisoning cases (1082 from PCC and 49 from FMI) were analyzed according to age, sex, geographical distribution and causes of poisoning according to the type and class of poisoning agent. The results

Prevalence of viral co-infection among COVID-19 cases in association disease severity and oral hygiene

Background: In December 2019, an episode of COVID-19 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV2) was reported in Wuhan, China and has spread around the world, increasing the number of contagions. Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) are common herpesviruses that can cause persistent latent infections and affect the developing immune system. The study was conducted to explore the prevalence and reactivation of CMV and EBV antibodies in COVID-19 patients group in comparison to healthy group and to investigate the association between the presence of these viruses with each of severity of disease and oral hygiene. Materials and Methods: Eighty Five subjects were participated in this case control study (5

Idiopathic Autoimmune Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) in adult; review of 50 cases admitted to Baghdad teaching hospital.

Background: Idiopathic autoimmune thrombocytopenia purpura (ITP) is an isolated thrombocytopenia in a patient with no clinically apparent associated conditions or factors that can
cause thrombocytopenia. The syndrome of ITP is caused by platelet-specific auto-antibodies that bind to autologous platelets. The diagnosis of ITP is usually a diagnosis of exclusion based on a demonstration of peripheral thrombocytopenia. Steroids are the conventional first-line therapy for adult ITP. Most patients demonstrate a response to steroids within 2 to 4 weeks, but a late response is possible.
Patients and Methods: A prospective study on 50 patients with diagnosis consistent with ITP, initially treated by steroid, p

Future of Mathematical Modelling: A Review of COVID-19 Infected Cases Using S-I-R Model

The spread of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has resulted in chaos around the globe. The infected cases are still increasing, with many countries still showing a trend of growing daily cases. To forecast the trend of active cases, a mathematical model, namely the SIR model was used, to visualize the spread of COVID-19. For this article, the forecast of the spread of the virus in Malaysia has been made, assuming that all Malaysian will eventually be susceptible. With no vaccine and antiviral drug currently developed, the visualization of how the peak of infection (namely flattening the curve) can be reduced to minimize the effect of COVID-19 disease. For Malaysians, let’s ensure to follow the rules and obey the SOP to lower the
