In this paper, we introduce and study new types of soft open sets and soft closed
sets in soft bitopological spaces (X,~ ,~ ,E) 1 2   , namely, (1,2)*-maximal soft open
sets, (1,2)*-maximal soft (1,2)*-pre-open sets, semi (1,2)*-maximal soft (1,2)*-preopen
sets, (1,2)*-maximal soft closed sets, (1,2)*-maximal soft (1,2)*-pre-closed
sets, (1,2)*-minimal soft open sets, (1,2)*-minimal soft (1,2)*-pre-open sets, (1,2)*-
minimal soft closed sets, (1,2)*-minimal soft (1,2)*-pre-closed sets, and semi (1,2)*-
minimal soft (1,2)*-pre-closed sets. Also, properties and the relation among these
concepts have been studied.

On Semi-p-Compact Space1

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new type of compact spaces, namely semi-p-compact spaces which are stronger than compact spaces; we give properties and characterizations of semi-p-compact spaces.

Optical Characteristics of Vitamin D3 Soft Gel

In this work, the linear properties of Vitamin D3-5000IU soft gel were investigated by measuring its absorption and fluorescence spectra. It was observed that there was a shift towards longer wavelength within limits (75 nm), with quantitative efficiency equal to (33.58%). The values of absorbance were used to calculate the extinction coefficient, optical refractive index, optical conductivity and optical dielectric constant values.

The non-linear properties of Vitamin D3-5000IU soft gel was also studied using the Z-Scan technique by using Neodymium-doped Yttrium Garnet (Nd: YAG) continuous laser (CW) emitting in       &n

New Class of Rank 1 Update for Solving Unconstrained Optimization Problem: New Class of Rank 1 Update for solving Unconstrained Optimization Problem

The focus of this article is to add a new class of rank one of  modified Quasi-Newton techniques to solve the problem of unconstrained optimization by updating the inverse Hessian matrix with an update of rank 1, where a diagonal matrix is the first component of the next inverse Hessian approximation, The inverse Hessian matrix is  generated by the method proposed which is symmetric and it satisfies the condition of modified quasi-Newton, so the global convergence is retained. In addition, it is positive definite that  guarantees the existence of the minimizer at every iteration of the objective function. We use  the program MATLAB to solve an algorithm function to introduce the feasibility of

Synthesis, Characterization, and Biological Studies of New Complexes Derived from 2-(1H-Benzimidazol-2-yl) Aniline

The Schiff base (E)-2-(((2-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl) phenyl) imino) methyl)-4-methylphenol (Lb) ligand with some metals(II) ion such as; Co, Cu, Cd, and Hg, were synthesis and characterized by the mass and 1 HNMR spectrometry for ligand Schiff base, the fourier-transform infrared spectroscop (FTIR), UV- visible and the flame atomic absorption (AA) spectrum, the CHN analysis, and the chlorine content, in addition to measuring the magnetic sensitivity of the complexes. All the complexes had octahedral geometry. The bioactivity activity for compounds against; Rhizopodium, Staphylococcus aureus, and Escherichia coli showed different efficacy towards these microorganisms

Meningitis in Baghdad 1993 – 1998 Part 1: Acute Bacterial Meningitis

Background: There is a need for a periodic review of acute bacterial meningitis (ABM) since the pathogens responsible for infection vary with time, geography and patient's age. This study was carried out to describe the epidemiology of different types of meningitis and variables affecting the outcome (improvement, complication and death).
Patients and Methods: All the cases of meningitis diagnosed and treated at Ibn- Al-Khateeb Teaching Hospital for the period Jan. 1993 to Dec. 1998 were included in this study. The collected data were age, sex, occupation, date of admission, date of discharge, type of meningitis and outcome of the disease.
Results: Out of the total cases, 73.3% were ABM. High rate of A

Improvement of Unconfined Compressive Strength of Soft Clay using Microbial Calcite Precipitates

The precipitation of calcite induced via microorganisms (MICP) is a technique that has been developed as an innovative sustainable ground improvement method utilizing ureolytic bacteria to soil strengthening and stabilization. Locally isolated Bacillus Sonorensis from Iraqi soil samples were found to have high abilities in producing urease. This study aims to use the MICP technique in improving the undrained shear strength of soft clay soil using two native urease producing bacteria that help in the precipitation of calcite to increase the cementation between soil particles. Three concentrations of each of the locally prepared Bacillus sonorensis are used in this study for cementation reagent (0.25M, 0.5M, and 1M) during

IL-6 and Type 2 Diabetes

Background: Interleukin -6 (IL-6) as the key mediator of the acute phase reaction is of interest .elevated protein concentrations of IL-6 in the blood have been shown in patients with type 2
diabetes. This study aimed to investigate the association of IL-6 and type 2 diabetes.
Materials and Methods: Blood samples were collected from 40 patients with type 2 diabetes and 40 person apparently healthy control were examined for IL-6 level by Enzyme Linked Immune Sorbent Assay. HbA1c determined by high pressure liquid chromatography .total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and triglyceride were determined enzymatically. Other risk factors study like age, sex and BMI.
Results: results shows that IL-6 was highe

The Association Between IL-2 Gene (RS2069763 (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Iraqi Patients

This research attempts to find the association between single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of IL2+166 gene (rs2069763) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in a sample of Iraqi patients. A total of 44 patients and 55 apparently healthy volunteers were genotyped for the SNP using polymerase chain reaction test. Three genotypes (GG, GT, and TT) corresponding to two alleles (G and T) were found to have SNP. Both study groups’ genotypes had a good agreement for the analysis of Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium. The results revealed increased frequencies between the observed and expected GG and TT genotypes and IL2+166 SNP T allele in T2DM  patients (40.9 vs. 40.0 %; OR = 1.04; 95% CI, 0.47 - 2.31), whereas the values in the control group were
