Outdoor Scene Classification Using Multiple SVM

This paper presents a hierarchical two-stage outdoor scene classification method using multi-classes of Support Vector Machine (SVM). In this proposed method, the gist feature of all the images in the database is extracted first to obtain the feature vectors. The image of database is classified into eight outdoor scenes classes, four manmade scenes and four natural scenes. Second, a hierarchical classification is applied, where the first stage classifies all manmade scene classes against all natural scene classes, while the second stage of a hierarchical classification classifies the outputs of first stage into either one of the four manmade scene classes or natural scene classes. Binary SVM and multi-classes SVMs are employed in the first and second stage of a hierarchical classification respectively. The proposed method is designed also to compare and find the most suitable multi-classes SVMs approach and the kernel function for classification task, where their performances are analyzed based on experimental results. The multi-classes SVMs used in this paper are One-versus-All (OvA) and One-versus-One (OvO), while the kernel functions used are linear kernel, Radius Basis Function (RBF) kernel and Polynomial kernel. Experimental results indicate that OvO classifier provides better performance than OvA classifier. The results, also show that the Polynomial kernel function is superior to others kernel function.

New Approach for the On-Line Spectrophotometric Determination of Folic Acid in Pure and Pharmaceutical Preparation via Oxidation by Cerium(IV) Sulphate Using Ayah 3Sx3-3D-Solar Cell CFI Spectrophotometer Analyzer

A newly photometric analytical method characterized by its speed and sensitivity was developed for the determination of folic acid in pure and pharmaceutical samples via its oxidation to reddish-orange coloured complex through oxidation by cerium (IV) sulphate in aqua medium using homemade Ayah 3Sx3-3D-solar cell CFI photometer. The colored species were determined using supper bright green light emitting diode (LED) as a source. A 100μl was taken as a best sample volume for the determination of folic acid. A New Approach for Developing Spectrophotometric Determination of Phenylephrine Drug in Pure, Pharmaceutics and Serum Samples Using Sodium Periodate as Oxidizing Agent via a Green Method of CFIA/Merging Zone Technique

     The research involved a rapid, automated and highly accurate developed CFIA/MZ technique for estimation of phenylephrine hydrochloride (PHE) in pure, dosage forms and biological sample. This method is based on oxidative coupling reaction of 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) with PHE in existence of sodium periodate as oxidizing agent in alkaline medium to form a red colored product at ʎmax )520 nm (. A flow rate of 4.3 mL.min-1 using distilled water as a carrier, the method of FIA proved to be as a sensitive and economic analytical tool for estimation of PHE.

Within the concentration range of 5-300 μg.mL-1, a calibration curve was rectilinear, where the detection limit was 3.252 μg.mL

Assessment of ISNAG fluorimeter (Total fluorescence measurements at+ 90° & - 90° using four solar cell on each side for 100mm distance at 2mm path length) with well-known fluorescent molecules via CFIA

Two well-known fluorescent molecules: fluorescein sodium salt (FSS) and 2,7-dichloro fluorescein (DCF) were tried to prove the efficiency, trustability and repeatability of ISNAG fluorimeter by using discrete and continuous flow injection analysis modes.A linear range of 0.002-1 mmol/L for FSS and 0.003-0.7 mmol/L was for DCF, with LOD 0.0018 mmol/L and 0.002 mmol/L for FSS and DCF respectively, were obtained for discrete mode of analysis. While the continuous mode gave a linear range of 0.002-0.7 mmol/L and 0.003-0.5 mmol/L for FSS and DCF respectively, the LOD were 0.0016mmol/L and 0.0018 mmol/L for FSS and DCF respectively. Determination of Atenolol in pharmaceutical formulations by continuous flow injection analysis via turbidimetric (T180o) and scattered light effect at two opposite position (2N90o ) using Ayah 4SW-3D-T180 -2N90 -Solar - CFI

A simple, rapid and sensitive method for the analysis of Atenolol in pure and pharmaceutical preparation as an alternative analytical procedure were developed by continuous flow injection analysis via turbidimetric (T180o) and scattered light effect at two opposite position (2N90o). The method is based upon the formation of white precipitate for the ion pair compound by phosphomolybidic acid with Atenolol in aqueous medium. The precipitate is measured via the attenuation of incident light and scattering of the incident light in two opposite direction namely +90o and -90o angle were measured.
