Image Compression Based on Arithmetic Coding Algorithm
...Show More Authors

The past years have seen a rapid development in the area of image compression techniques, mainly due to the need of fast and efficient techniques for storage and transmission of data among individuals. Compression is the process of representing the data in a compact form rather than in its original or incompact form. In this paper, integer implementation of Arithmetic Coding (AC) and Discreet Cosine Transform (DCT) were applied to colored images. The DCT was applied using the YCbCr color model. The transformed image was then quantized with the standard quantization tables for luminance and chrominance. The quantized coefficients were scanned by zigzag scan and the output was encoded using AC. The results showed a decent compression ratio with high image quality.

IMPLEMENTATION OF ROOT FINDING ALGORITHM OF MINIMUM PHASE FILTER USING VHDL
...Show More Authors

Root-finding is an oldest classical problem, which is still an important research topic, due to its impact on computational algebra and geometry. In communications systems, when the impulse response of the channel is minimum phase the state of equalization algorithm is reduced and the spectral efficiency will improved. To make the channel impulse response minimum phase the prefilter which is called minimum phase filter is used, the adaptation of the minimum phase filter need root finding algorithm. In this paper, the VHDL implementation of the root finding algorithm introduced by Clark and Hau is introduced.
VHDL program is used in the work, to find the roots of two channels and make them minimum phase, the obtained output results are

Double Function Random Early Detection (DFRED): A Revised RED-Oriented Algorithm
...Show More Authors

Dropping packets with a linear function between two configured queue thresholds in Random Early Detection (RED) model is incapable of yielding satisfactory network performance. In this article, a new enhanced and effective active queue management algorithm, termed Double Function RED (DFRED in short) is developed to further curtail network delay. Specifically, DFRED algorithm amends the packet dropping probability approach of RED by dividing it into two sub-segments. The first and second partitions utilizes and implements a quadratic and linear increase respectively in the packet dropping probability computation to distinguish between two traffic loads: low and high. The ns-3 simulation performance evaluations clearly indicate t

Implementable Self-Learning PID Controller Using Least Mean Square Adaptive Algorithm
...Show More Authors

More than 95% of the industrial controllers in use today are PID or modified PID controllers. However, the PID is manually tuning to be responsive so that the Process Variable is rapidly and steady moved to track the set point with minimize overshoot and stable output. The paper presents generic teal-time PID controller architecture. The developed architecture is based on the adaption of each of the three controller parameters (PID) to be self- learning using individual least mean square algorithm (LMS). The adaptive PID is verified and compared with the classical PID. The rapid realization of the adaptive PID architecture allows the readily fabrication into a hardware version either ASIC or reconfigurable.

Solving Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) Using Tabu Search Algorithm (TSA)
...Show More Authors

This paper investigates the capacitated vehicle routing problem (CVRP) as it is one of the numerous issues that have no impeccable solutions yet. Numerous scientists in the recent couple of decades have set up various explores and utilized numerous strategies with various methods to deal with it. However, for all researches, finding the least cost is exceptionally complicated. In any case, they have figured out how to think of rough solutions that vary in efficiencies relying upon the search space. Furthermore, tabu search (TS) is utilized to resolve this issue as it is fit for solving numerous complicated issues. The algorithm has been adjusted to resolve the exploration issue, where its methodology is not quite the same as the normal a

A Proposal Algorithm to Solve Delay Constraint Least Cost Optimization Problem
...Show More Authors

Traditionally, path selection within routing is formulated as a shortest path optimization problem. The objective function for optimization could be any one variety of parameters such as number of hops, delay, cost...etc. The problem of least cost delay constraint routing is studied in this paper since delay constraint is very common requirement of many multimedia applications and cost minimization captures the need to
distribute the network. So an iterative algorithm is proposed in this paper to solve this problem. It is appeared from the results of applying this algorithm that it gave the optimal path (optimal solution) from among multiple feasible paths (feasible solutions).

Convergence Theorems of Three-Step Iteration Algorithm in CAT (0) Spaces
...Show More Authors

In this paper, a modified three-step iteration algorithm for approximating a joint fixed point of non-expansive and contraction mapping is studied. Under appropriate conditions, several strong convergence theorems and Δ-convergence theorems are established in a complete CAT (0) space. a numerical example is introduced to show that this modified iteration algorithm is faster than other iteration algorithms. Finally, we prove that the modified iteration algorithm is stable. Therefore these results are extended and improved to a novel results that are stated by other researchers. Our results are also complement to many well-known theorems in the literature. This type of research can be played a vital role in computer programming
