New types of modules named Fully Small Dual Stable Modules and Principally Small Dual Stable are studied and investigated. Both concepts are generalizations of Fully Dual Stable Modules and Principally Dual Stable Modules respectively. Our new concepts coincide when the module is Small Quasi-Projective, and by considering other kind of conditions. Characterizations and relations of these concepts and the concept of Small Duo Modules are investigated, where every fully small dual stable R-module M is small duo and the same for principally small dual stable.
Let R be a commutative ring with unity and M be a non zero unitary left R-module. M is called a hollow module if every proper submodule N of M is small (N ≪ M), i.e. N + W ≠M for every proper submodule W in M. A δ-hollow module is a generalization of hollow module, where an R-module M is called δ-hollow module if every proper submodule N of M is δ-small (N δ  M), i.e. N + W ≠M for every proper submodule W in M with M W is singular. In this work we study this class of modules and give several fundamental properties related with this concept
In this paper, we introduce and study a new concept named couniform modules, which is a dual notion of uniform modules, where an R-module M is said to be couniform if every proper submodule N of M is either zero or there exists a proper submodule N1 of N such that is small submodule of Also many relationships are given between this class of modules and other related classes of modules. Finally, we consider the hereditary property between R-module M and R-module R in case M is couniform.

Let R be an associative ring with identity and let M be a unitary left R–module. As a generalization of small submodule , we introduce Jacobson–small submodule (briefly J–small submodule ) . We state the main properties of J–small submodules and supplying examples and remarks for this concept . Several properties of these submodules are given . Also we introduce Jacobson–hollow modules ( briefly J–hollow ) . We give a characterization of J–hollow modules and gives conditions under which the direct sum of J–hollow modules is J–hollow . We define J–supplemented modules and some types of modules that are related to J–supplemented modules and int

Let F be a submodule of M and x∊M. x is called F-µ-semiregular element in M , if there exists a decomposition M=A⨁B, such that A is a projective submodule of and . M is called F-µ-semiregular if x is F-µ-semiregular element for each x∊M. A condition under which the module µ-semiregular is F-µ-semiregular module was given. The basic properties and some characterizations of the F-µ-semiregular module were provided.
The main goal of this paper is to introduce and study a new concept named d*-supplemented which can be considered as a generalization of W- supplemented modules and d-hollow module. Also, we introduce a d*-supplement submodule. Many relationships of d*-supplemented modules are studied. Especially, we give characterizations of d*-supplemented modules and relationship between this kind of modules and other kind modules for example every d-hollow (d-local) module is d*-supplemented and by an example we show that the converse is not true.
Let R be associative ring with identity and M is a non- zero unitary left module over R. M is called M- hollow if every maximal submodule of M is small submodule of M. In this paper we study the properties of this kind of modules.
In this paper, we introduce and study a new concept (up to our knowledge) named CL-duo modules, which is bigger than that of duo modules, and smaller than weak duo module which is given by Ozcan and Harmanci. Several properties are investigated. Also we consider some characterizations of CL-duo modules. Moreover, many relationships are given for this class of modules with other related classes of modules such as weak duo modules, P-duo modules.
Since 1980s, the study of the extending module in the module theory has been a major area of research interest in the ring theory and it has been studied recently by several authors, among them N.V. Dung, D.V. Huyn, P.F. Smith and R. Wisbauer. Because the act theory signifies a generalization of the module theory, the author studied in 2017 the class of extending acts which are referred to as a generalization of quasi-injective acts. The importance of the extending acts motivated us to study a dual of this concept, named the coextending act. An S-act MS is referred to as coextending act if every coclosed subact of Ms is a retract of MS where a subact AS of MS is said to be coclosed in MS if whenever the Rees factor â„ is small in th
... Show MoreThe present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of variation of influent raw water turbidity, bed composition, and filtration rate on the performance of mono (sand) and dual media (sand and anthracite) rapid gravity filters in response to the effluent filtered water turbidity and headloss development. In order to evaluate each filter pe1formance, sieve analysis was made to characterize both media and to determine the effective size and uniformity coefficient. Effluent filtered water turbidity and the headloss development was recorded with time during each experiment.
