Atotal of 551 water samples drinking( five Water Treatment Plans (WTPs) and raw water( from different sites on Tigris river) were collected.According to morphological characteristics and a set of biochemical tests, one hundred twenty eight of Aeromonas spp isolates were obtained In this study The percentages of Aeromonas recovery from river water was 72.52%, from wells water was (35%).Total percentage of positive aeromonas samples of treated water(Filtration &chlorine tank, supply water of WTPs, distribution system, reserviores and other samples not related to WPTs) was 8.8%.Count of Aeromonas in positive aeromonas samples ranging from 1 to 175 cfu 100 ml.

The study was conducted from November 2021 to May 2022 at the three study sites within the Baghdad governorate. The study aims to identify the impact of human activities on the Tigris River, so an area free of human activities was chosen and represented the first site. A total of 48 types were diagnosed, 6204 ind/m3 spread over three sites. The following environmental indicators were evaluated: Constancy Index (S), Relative abundance index (Ra), Richness Index (between 17.995 and 23.251), Shannon Weiner Index (0.48-1.25 bit/ind.), Uniformity Index (0.124 -0.323). Radon concentrations are measured for water samples collected from twenty wells which were drilled in Hashimiya area in addition to twelve samples of surface water using Alpha Gaurd. 140 samples, 7 for each well, were collected represent wet season in continuous pumping and 20 samples, one for each well, were collected represent dry season. Concentration of radon in groundwater is many times of its concentration in surface water. The minimum concentration in groundwater is about (7) Bq/L and (5) Bq/L while the maximum concentration is about (31) Bq/L and (19) Bq/L in wet season and dry season respectively.
