Determination of Relative Reactivity of HSAB Complexes Using DFT Theory

Based on the density functional theory (DFT) , the stability of molecular complexes has been predicted according to hard-soft acid base (HSAB) theory. Relative stability of products and reactivity of soft base sulfide derivatives with halogens (Iodine , Bromine , Chlorine) as soft acid was studied to determine the relative ability of these reactants causing the reaction to be more spontaneous.
DFT at the levels of B3LYP/3-21G and B3LYP/3-21G (d) was used to study HOMO LUMO energy gaps , bonds length and total energy to calculate the softness sequence of each type of acid or base mentioned in this work. All cases studied prove that iodine can be considered as the most softness acid and ethyl methyl sulfide≈ dimethyl sulfide the most softness bas

The metaphoric problem of topography In the scenario of war films Model the film (fury)

The study of topography most important studies and depth of any literary or artistic text and occupy the thinking of many who work in art at generally. There is hardly any film scenario from description in general of the indispensable elements of the composition and place one. So the place starts form since the scriptwriter begins to view the result of the description begins to feature the emergence of there are simple operations in the scenario soon to receive growth as a final achievement in the film. The description of the place begins to take on an allegorical character as a language version in the script, soon translated into another language, the language of the picture. Which in turn complement the creative ring of cinematic art a

Petrology of the Lower Succession of Injana Formation, Shorr Shareen area, Wasit Governorate, - Eastern Iraq

This study deals with the petrology of the lower succession of the Injana Formation in the Shorr Shareen area, Wasit Governorate, Eastern Iraq. The study revealed that the sandstone is litharenite consists of 45.56% rock fragments, 22.13% quartz and 8.5% feldspars. The matrix is about 8.39%, consisting of silt and clay particles. The cement is variable (carbonates 8.42%, evaporites 1.78% and iron oxides 0.96%). The grain assemblage infers that the source of the rock fragments is nearby. The petrographic analyses indicate that the studied Injana sandstones are immature mineralogically because of their content of unstable constituents, such as lithic fragments and feldspars. In addition, the presence of such fresh feldspars indica

The effect of short range correlation on the inelastic C4 form factors of 18O nucleus

The effect of short range correlations on the inelastic longitudinal
Coulomb form factors for different states of J   4 , T  1with
excitation energies 3.553,7.114, 8.960 and 10.310 MeV in 18O is
analyzed. This effect (which depends on the correlation parameter )
is inserted into the ground state charge density distribution through
the Jastrow type correlation function. The single particle harmonic
oscillator wave function is used with an oscillator size parameter b.
The parameters  and b are considered as free parameters, adjusted
for each excited state separately so as to reproduce the experimental
root mean square charge radius of 18O. The model space of 18O does
not contribute to the tra

The Antimicrobial Effects of Alcoholic Leaves Extract of Salvia Officinalis Against Multidrug Resistant Pseudomonas Aeruginosa

Two isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated from patients with Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). The aim of this study was to determine the antimicrobial effect of alcoholic leaves extract of Salvia officinalis on Multidrug resistant (MDR) P. aeruginosa. Using the well diffusion test, the alcoholic leaves extract at 100mg/ml and 200 mg /ml was shown to possess antimicrobial activity against the tested microorganism. The inhibition zones of S. officinalis at 200 mg/ml, and 100 mg/ml of the extract showed diameters of 23mm and 20mm, respectively. But the diameters of the inhibition zones caused by treatment with the antibiotics Ciprofloxacin, Ticarcillin + Clavulanic acid, and Cefotaxime w

The Protective Effect of Ethanolic Extract of Mentha spicata Against Irinotecan-Induced Mucositis in mice

Irinotecan induced-mucositis is an inflammatory event of intestine caused by an increase in concentration of active metabolite 7ethyl10-hydroxycamptothecin (SN38) in the intestine. Irinotecan must first be converted by a carboxylesterase (CES) to the active metabolite (SN38), which is subsequently glucuronidated by the hepatic enzyme to SN38G. The SN-38G is deconjugated in the intestine to SN-38 via ?-glucuronidase produced by the intestinal bacterial flora, which accounts for SN-38 delayed intestinal mucositis of irinotecan. To study the protective effect of mentha in irinotecan-induced mucositis, intestinal mucositis induced by I.P injection of irinotecan (75mg/Kg/day) for 4 days. Mentha ethanolic extract orally administered to

Employment of Literay Tradition In the Polemic Poems of Jarir , Al-Farazdaq and Al-Akhtal

The present study is an academic attempt to show how the threeUmayyad poets ; Jarir ,
Al-Farazdaq and Al-Akhtal have skillfully employed old conventions and traditions in their
poetry to serve a dual purpose of making their ideas striking , memorable and compelling and
of reaching eminence as poets.
The primary aim of the poets has been to amuse , convince and influence the readers or
listeners of their poetry . as it were, a mirror image of the social , religious and historical
beliefs , values and customs which prevailed throughout the ages before the emergence.
