Optimal Robot Path Planning using Enhanced Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm

The aim of robot path planning is to search for a safe path for the mobile robot. Even though there exist various path planning algorithms for mobile robots, yet only a few are optimized. The optimized algorithms include the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) that finds the optimal path with respect to avoiding the obstacles while ensuring safety. In PSO, the sub-optimal solution takes place frequently while finding a solution to the optimal path problem. This paper proposes an enhanced PSO algorithm that contains an improved particle velocity. Experimental results show that the proposed Enhanced PSO performs better than the standard PSO in terms of solution’s quality. Hence, a mobile robot implementing the proposed algorithm operates better and is more secure.

Distributed Multi-Ant Colony System Algorithm using Raspberry Pi Cluster for Travelling Salesman Problem

     The traveling salesman problem is addressed in this paper by introducing a distributed multi-ant colony algorithm that is implemented on a Raspberry Pi cluster. The implementation of a master and eight workers, each running on Raspberry Pi nodes, is the central component of this novel technique. Each worker is responsible for managing their own colony of ants, while the master coordinates communications among workers’ nodes and assesses the most optimal approach. Drag Forces under Longitudinal Interaction of Two Particle

Direct measurements of drag force on two interacting particles  arranged in the longitudinal direction for particle Reynolds numbers varying from J O to 103 are conducted using a micro-force measurement system. The effect of the interparticle distance and Reynolds number on the drag forces  is examined. An empirical equation is obtained to describe the effect of the interparticle distance (l/d) on the dimensionless drag.

Towards a decentralized planning policy in Iraq

This puts a responsibility on the academics to produce more research work on the best framework for this change, to ensure the best results. The main objective of this research is to suggest a policy for the decentralized transformation in domain of Urban and Regional Planning in Iraq. Robust Approach of Optimal Control for DC Motor in Robotic Arm System using Matlab Environment

The robotic arms are used for several manufacturing applications, and their responses required optimal control. In this paper, a robust approach of optimal position control for a DC motor in the robotic arm system is proposed. The general component of the automation system is first introduced. The mathematical model and the corresponding transfer functions of a DC motor in the robotic arm system are presented.  The investigations of using DC motor in the robotic arm system without controller lead to poor system performance.
