n the present work, a study is carried out to remove chromium (III) from
aqueous solution by: activated charcoal , attapulgite and date palm leaflet powder
(pinnae). The effect of various parameters such as contact time, and temperature has
been studied. The isotherm equilibrium data were well fitted by Freundlich and
Langmuir isotherm models. The adsorption capacity of chromium (III) that was
observed by activated charcoal , attapulgite and date palm leaflet powder (pinnae)
increased with the rise of temperature when the concentrations of Cr (III) were 600,
700 and 100mg/L respectively. The greatest adsorption capacity ofactivated
charcoal , attapulgite and date palm leaflet powder (pinnae) at 10°C was 7.51, 5.39
and 0.77mg.gˉ¹ respectively and reaching 9.99, 8.82 and 1.43mg.gˉ¹ at 37.5°C. The
thermodynamics study showed that the chromium (III) ions adsorption is
endothermic and spontaneous with the increase of randomness at the solid-solution
interface that involves adsorption and absorption mechanism.
The research aims to identify the effect of teaching-learning design based on the constructivism theory on the life skills of middle stage students. The sample consisted of (60) students from one of the middle schools in Baghdad's governorate. The experimental group and control group consisted of 30 students for each group, the research tool was the life skills scale composed of (78) items. The scale proved its validity and reliability, which was found to be (0.85). The results showed a statistically significant difference in life skills between the two groups of research in favor of the experimental group, which studied the educational design according to models of constructivism theory compared to the usual method of teaching.
The world and the business environment are constantly witnessing many economic changes that have led to the expansion of the business' volume due to mergers and the increase in an investments volume and the complexity of business and the transformation of some systems, which was reflected on the size of the risk and uncertainty which led to necessity of a presence of transparent and objective accounting information In the way that reflects the financial performance of the economic units to be available to all users of that information, therefore, The need for the existence of indicators for transparency in the disclosure of accounting information that these units adhere to. Comparisons between the mentioned estimation methods has been performed using statistical indicator mean squares error, concluding that the estimation of the survival function for the lung cancer by using pre-test singles stage shrinkage estimator method was the best . <

In the present study a strong acid cation exchange resin, Amberlite IR 120 was used for the removal of lead, zinc and copper from simulated wastewater. The optimum conditions were determined in a batch system of concentration 100 mg/L, pH range between 1 and 8, contact time between 5 and 120 minutes, and amount of adsorbent was from 0.05 to 0.45 g/100 ml. A constant stirring speed, 180 rpm, was chosen during all of the experiments. The optimum conditions were found to be pH of 4 for copper and lead and pH 6 for zinc, contact time of 60 min and 0.35 g of adsorbent. Three different temperatures (25, 40 and 60°C) were selected to investigate the effect

based on leaving out a part of a nominal construction or more for the sake of good
style , compactness and connectedness .This phenomenon is found in the language of
the Glorious Qur’an .The study in hand is concerned with how translators handle
translating Qur’anic verses which contain ellipted nouns , i ,e. , to what extent the
translated Qur’anic verses are close to the original ones , and to what extent their
translations serve understanding the meanings of the glorious verses while at the

In this study, the first kind Bessel function was used to solve Kepler equation for an elliptical orbiting satellite. It is a classical method that gives a direct solution for calculation of the eccentric anomaly. It was solved for one period from (M=0-360)° with an eccentricity of (e=0-1) and the number of terms from (N=1-10). Also, the error in the representation of the first kind Bessel function was calculated. The results indicated that for eccentricity of (0.1-0.4) and (N = 1-10), the values of eccentric anomaly gave a good result as compared with the exact solution. Besides, the obtained eccentric anomaly values were unaffected by increasing the number of terms (N = 6-10) for eccentricities (0.8 and 0.9). The Bessel

Show MoreThis paper deals with finding the approximation solution of a nonlinear parabolic boundary value problem (NLPBVP) by using the Galekin finite element method (GFEM) in space and Crank Nicolson (CN) scheme in time, the problem then reduce to solve a Galerkin nonlinear algebraic system(GNLAS). The predictor and the corrector technique (PCT) is applied here to solve the GNLAS, by transforms it to a Galerkin linear algebraic system (GLAS). This GLAS is solved once using the Cholesky method (CHM) as it appear in the matlab package and once again using the Cholesky reduction order technique (CHROT) which we employ it here to save a massive time. The results, for CHROT are given by tables and figures and show

In addition, the effect of monosaccharide D-mannose on neuraminidase gene expression in eight isolates was studied by utilizing a reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR). The results demonstrated that the highest expression of nan1 gene was in otitis samples (208,913.81) which were significantly higher than that from other infections (P < 0.01). While, the concentrations of gene copies obtained from urin

Show More Depending on the high resistance to antibiotics, five isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and 7 isolates of Serratia fonticola were selected out of 150 bacterial isolates from burn wards in Baghdad hospitals, which were later identified by VITEK2. A susceptibility test was done by using 15 antibiotics. The results showed that all the selected isolates were resistant to antibiotics: AMP, CTX, CAZ, GEN, PIP, TIC and TMP especially, while they were sensitive to IPE.
