Various types of storing tanks are used to store municipal water at homes. This study was carried out to examine several water physical and chemical variables such as pH, EC, TSS and TDS after different storing periods. The obtained results showed no significant differences between the mean of pH values which ranged from 7.27 ± 0.04 in a water sample of galvanized tank after six days of storing to 8.10 ± 0.12 in water sample of aluminum tank after nine storing days. In case of electric conductivity, Highest mean values (1.85±0.09 μS/cm and 1.44 ± 0.21μS/cm) were found in galvanized tank samples for different storing periods while the lowest mean values (0.58±0.06 μS/cm and 1.04±0.06 μS/cm) were recorded in aluminum tank samples. However in plastic tanks samples, the mean values were moderated (0.94 ±0.05 μS/cm and 1.16±0.03 μS/cm) between means of both tanks. In case of TSS, the current data have shown significant differences between mean values of examined stored water samples where highest values (730.0±31.97 mg/l - 1060.0±141.42 mg/l) were in galvanized tank water samples and the lowest mean values (27.67±21.36 mg/l – 118.33 ±18.46 mg/l) were in plastic tank water samples whilst in aluminum tank water samples, these values were varied from 193.33±10.66 mg/l – 253.33±22.2 mg/l). In general, only water samples stored in galvanized tank had mean value significantly higher that of control sample which had 251.33±3.21 mg/l. Regarding TDS, this study has found that highest mean values (800.0±40.0 mg/l – 1600.0±100.0 mg/l) were recorded in water samples of aluminum tank and the lowest mean values (40.0±10.0 mg/l – 120.0±10.0 mg/l) were found in water samples of plastic tank while water samples of galvanized tank had mean values varied from 680.0 ±10.0 mg/l – 1172.0 ±18.08 mg/l. Control sample, however had mean value of 495.0±5.0 mg/l which was only higher than that of plastic tank
Eleven species of parasitic insects were recovered from puparia of house fly Musca domestica L. developing in animal dung in Baghdad during 1985-1987. Of the parasites obtained, representatives were found in five families of Hymenoptera and one family of Coleoptera. The most prevalent parasites were Spalangia cameroni Perkins, S. nigroaenea Curtis and S. endius Walk. Average parasitism for the two year was 11.30 %, the highest number of parasitism occurred in May and October.
The multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) considers a post-infectious immunological response to coronavirus illness (COVID-19) that was originally identified in the United Kingdom and later identified in other countries. A previously healthy 3-month-old boy was admitted to hospital context with -5-day history of fever, gastrointestinal symptoms [diarrhea, vomiting of normal gastric contents], hypoactivity, and poor oral intake, but so far no history of covid-19 active disease. The infant was dehydrated, with macular non-blanching skin rash everywhere over his body and widespread non-pitting edema. With supportive measures, methylprednisolone and IV immunoglobulin, the child improved, with his fever, skin rash, and labor

Petrography has provided a diversity of fauna such as benthonic foraminifera (Miliolid, Peneroplis sp., Dendritina sp. and Borelis melo curdica) in addition to Red Algae and Mollusca. The Jeribe carbonates were affected by various diagenetic processes such as dolomitization, neomorphism, cementation, anhydritization, compaction and dissolution. Many microfacies have been identified, including lime mudestone, wackestone, packstone and Milioldal

This study aimed to isolate and characterize bacteria resistant to heavy metals in the Shatt Al-Arab River in southern Basra, Iraq. Based on the morphology and using Vitek II system, and due to their high resistance to heavy metals (mercury and chromium), two species of Staphylococcus (Staphylococcus lentus and Staphylococcus lugdunensis) were chosen and isolated. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the isolates against Hg and Cr was determined after 72 h. of incubation in solid media. All isolates were resistant to Hg (2000 mgL-1) and Cr (4000mgL

The study revealed weaknesses and strengths in the textbooks’ content. For instance, a number of science process skills (SPS), such as measuring, predicting and hypothesizing, have been neglected in the 11th grade textbook. For all three textbooks content, the maximum percentage of basic science process skills (BSPS) was devoted to observation. However, the maximum percentage of integrated science process skills (ISPS) was different for each grade: experimenting had the highest percentage for 10th grade, interpreting data for 11th grade, and operational definitions for 12th

Anadrol (oxymetholone) is an active androgenic anabolic steroid that has been clinically studied in numerous diseases since the 1960s. It is used in the treatment of anemia and the replacement of male sex steroids. Unfortunately, in attempts to improve physical performance, Anadrol could be misused by athletes, that can lead to poisoning contributes to hepatotoxicity.
The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of anadrol on the liver function in rat model, via assessment of liver enzymes and histopathological study.
A forty male rats, weights about (200-300 gm), aged 8-12 weeks, after acclimatization, the rats were randomly divided into four groups (10 rats in each group) as follow: control group (in w

The model or mechanism should be developed by collecting the necessary information about the taxpayers and the sources of the taxpayers' income, on the basis of which the accuracy of the inventory process will be adopted. In addition to studies related to computerized information systems and showing their importance to the tax institution. To achieve the objectives of the study and to answer its questions, the researcher relied on collecting data and information on the subject on the literature and previous studies The secondary sources, which also formed the theoretical framework of the study, were obtained either as a practical fr

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory polyarithritic disease
associated with remission and exacerbation with different immunological
features.Rheumatoid factor(RF) screening test was used quantitatively and qualitatively
using an enzyme immunoassay (EIA), RF-isotypes (RF-IgG, RF-IgM, RF-IgA) ,
Interleukin-18 (IL-18) and Interleukin – 18 binding protein (IL-18BP) were detected
quantitatively usingenzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Results indicated a
51% positivity in RF among RA patients and a prevalence of the RF-isotype (RF-IgM)
with the highest level at (41.6±16.3 U/ml) (p < 0.05) among other RF-isotypes at a
percentage of 85.5% , results also indicatedan elevated serum level of IL-18
Background: Tooth eruption is a more general process, however, which includes certain posteruptive tooth movements. There are two fundamental requirements for both tooth eruption to occur: (1) Require soft tissue, intervening between tooth structure and alveolar bone, which plays an important role in regulating the remodeling of adjacent tissues. (2) Require bone turnover that is temporally and spatially regulated to facilitate specific translocations of teeth through alveolar bone These amniotic stem cells are multipotent and able to differentiate into various tissues, which may be useful for human application and recently it used in many medical branches. CD34 is an endothelial marker that is extensively used in immunohistochemistry a
