Optical Characteristics of Vitamin D3 Soft Gel
...Show More Authors

In this work, the linear properties of Vitamin D3-5000IU soft gel were investigated by measuring its absorption and fluorescence spectra. It was observed that there was a shift towards longer wavelength within limits (75 nm), with quantitative efficiency equal to (33.58%). The values of absorbance were used to calculate the extinction coefficient, optical refractive index, optical conductivity and optical dielectric constant values.

The non-linear properties of Vitamin D3-5000IU soft gel was also studied using the Z-Scan technique by using Neodymium-doped Yttrium Garnet (Nd: YAG) continuous laser (CW) emitting in        (532 nm) wavelength, by  utilize  open aperture to measure nonlinear absorption coefficient and close aperture (diameter 1.5mm) to measure nonlinear refractive index. The sample behaves as two-photon absorption, and the nonlinear refractive index was positive.

Sedimentological and Heavy Metals Characteristics of Streets Dust in some Areas East of Baghdad for 2020
...Show More Authors

Road-side dust samples were collected during August in 2020 from selected areas of, Al-Rusafa, Baghdad, Iraq. A sedimentological and mineralogical analysis of street dust was conducted. Three areas were selected to study street dusts which are Al-Baladitat, Al-Obaidi and Ziona. The laboratory analyses were done in the Department of Geology, College of Science, University of Baghdad. The heavy metal contents were determined in the roadside dust using XRF Method. It was found that the dust is of muddy texture, and is believed to be transmitted with the various storms blowing on Baghdad or by the wheels of Cars. The results of mineralogical investigation revealed that the dust samples composed of quartz, feldspar, calcite, gypsum and s

Evaluation of Physio-Chemical Characteristics of Bio Fertilizer Produced from Organic Solid Waste Using Composting Bins
...Show More Authors

Background: The possibility of converting the organic fraction of municipal solid waste to mature compost using the composting bin method was studied. Nine distinct treatments were created by combining municipal solid waste (MSW) with animal waste (3:1, 2:1), poultry manure (3:1, 2:1), mixed waste (2:1:1), agricultural waste (dry leaves), biocont (Trichoderm hazarium), and humic acid. Weekly monitoring of temperature, pH, EC, organic matter (OM percent), and the C/N ratio was performed, and macronutrients (N, P, K) were measured. Trace elements, including heavy metals (Cd and Pb), were tested in the first and final weeks of maturity. Results: Temperatures in the first days of composting reached the thermophilic phase in MSW compost

Blue Laser Optical NOMA Communication Applied on Control Drone-to-Underwater Vehicle
...Show More Authors

oday deep ocean life has not been discovered by humans including many secret world things to be explored. The researcher has focused on underwater optical wireless communications using various kinds of complex digital Signal processing most of them used in air and starting applied in underwater communication. The Internet of Things (IoT) uses underwater called Internet of Underwater Things (IoUT) applications to explore the underwater world with other devices. However, the difference in concentration between air and water surfaces is not easy making wireless communication more complicated. Visible light passes the water's surface with scattering and distortion inside the water and each color of light has different attenuation the blue laser

PDF Tunable Optical filters Using Etched Polarization Maintaining Fiber Hybrid Sagnac Interferometer
...Show More Authors

: In modern optical communication system, noise rejection multiple access interference (MAI) must be rejected in dense access network (DAN). This paper will study the dual optical band pass and notch filters. They will be extracted with tunable FWHM using 10cm (PMF) with different cladding diameters formed with etching 125μm PMF after immersing it with 40% of hydrofluoric acid (HF). This fiber acts as assessing fiber to perform Sagnac interferometer with splicing regions that placed 12cm (SMF) for performing hybrid Sagnac interferometer that consists of Mach-Zehnder instead of Sagnac loop which is illuminated by using laser source with centroid wavelength of 1546.7nm and FWHM of 286 pm or 9 ns in the time domain. . Optical properties for TiO2 / PMMA nanocomposite thin films prepared by plasma jet
...Show More Authors

PMMA/TiO2 homogeneous thin films were deposited by using plasma jet system under normal atmospheric pressure and room temperature. PMMA/TiO2 nanocomposite thin film synthesized by plasma polymerization. Titanium oxide was mixed with Methyl Methacrylate Monomer (MMA) with specific weight ratios (1, 3 and 5 grams of TiO2 per 100 ml of MMA). Optical properties of PMMA/TiO2 nanocomposite thin films were characterized by UV-Visible absorption spectra using a double beam UV-Vis-NIR Spectrophotometer. The thin films surface morphological analysis is carried out by employing SEM. The structure analysis are achieved by X-ray diffraction. UV-Visible absorption spectra shows that the increasing the concentration of titanium oxide added to the polym
