Thermal evaporation method has used for depositing CdTe films
on corning glass slides under vacuum of about 10-5mbar. The
thicknesses of the prepared films are400 and 1000 nm. The prepared
films annealed at 573 K. The structural of CdTe powder and prepared
films investigated. The hopping and thermal energies of as deposited
and annealed CdTe films studied as a function of thickness. A
polycrystalline structure observed for CdTe powder and prepared
films. All prepared films are p-type semiconductor. The hopping
energy decreased as thickness increased, while thermal energy
increased.
In this work, thin films of cadmium oxide: nickel oxide (CdO: NiO) were prepared by pulsed laser deposition at different pulse energies of Nd: YAG laser. The thin films' properties were determined by various techniques to study the effect of pulse laser energy on thin films' properties. X-ray diffraction measurements showed a mixture of both phases. The degree of crystallinity and the lattice constant increase with the laser energy increase, while the lattice strain decreases. FE-SEM images show that the substrates' entire surface is uniformly covered, without any cracks, with a well-connected structure consisting of small spherical particles ranging in size from 15 to 120 nm. Increasing the laser power causes to increase the pa

The deposited CdS films were characterized using spectrophotometer and the effect of Sulfide on the structural properties of the films was investigated through the analysis of X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD). The growth of crystal became stronger and more oriented as seen in the X-ray diffraction pattern. The studying of X-ray diffraction showed that; all the films have the hexagonal structure with lattice constants a=b=4.1358 and c=6.7156A°, the crystallite size of the CdS thin films increases and strain (ε) as well as the dislocation density (δ) decreases. Also, the optical properties of the

In this paper, the SSSC linearized power flow equations are incorporated into Newton-Raphson algorithm in a MATLAB written program to investigate the control of active poweer flow and the transient stability of a five bus and a thirty bus IEEE test systems, during abnormal conduction (three phase fault near buses). A comparison of the results obtained for the base case without SSSC and with it to investigate the effectiveness of the device on both of the active power flow and the transient stability.
This study aims to evaluate the effect of low power a semi-conductor He-Ne laser 4 mw power with 635 nm length on the growth and cell viability of dermatophyte Trichophyton mentagophytes. For this study, skin samples of 22 patents were collecting; those patients were suffering from dematophytsis caused by the dermatophytes, three isolates were diagnosed in dermatophytes group were T. mentagophytes. Results showed that rays of semi-conductor laser with 635 nm wavelength of 4 mn power have affected the fungal growth T. mentagophytes (the ideal isolates) in sold media when exposed to laser radiation in different periods of 10-20 second duration, but the other two isolates gave negative results. The effects of He-Ne laser rays in dry w

In some cases, the necessary reserve materials are not available for maintenance which leads to interrupt of power generation in the electrical power plant unit. The present study, deals with the determination of availability aspects of generator in unit 5 of Al-Dourra electric power plant. In order to evaluate this generator's availability performance, a wide range of studies have been conducted to gather accurate information at the level of detail considered suitable to achieve the availability analysis aim. The Weibull Distribution is used to perform the reliability analysis via Minitab 17, and Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) by approaching o

Show MoreThe study deals with reactivity insertion linear and non linear and/or Ramp reactivity expressed as a polynomial in time in the presence of two Feedback mechanisms, using the neutronic-thermohydraulic coupling in order to predict the neutron behavior as a function of time in terms of reactor power. Also, a comparative study has been achieved in the case of the presence of the feedback mechanisms. Insertion of Ramp reactivities in terms of polynomial in time to study the behavior of power and reactivity as a function of time in the presence of two feedback mechanisms (fuel and coolant) has been carried out and the results are displayed as plots, and showed this results corresponding with international results. Show MoreThe aim of this paper is to estimate a single reliability system (R = P, Z > W) with a strength Z subjected to a stress W in a stress-strength model that follows a power Rayleigh distribution. It proposes, generates and examines eight methods and techniques for estimating distribution parameters and reliability functions. These methods are the maximum likelihood estimation(MLE), the exact moment estimation (EMME), the percentile estimation (PE), the least-squares estimation (LSE), the weighted least squares estimation (WLSE) and three shrinkage estimation methods (sh1) (sh2) (sh3). We also use the mean square error (MSE) Bias and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) to compare the estimation methods. Both theoretical c
