Cervical ectropion is considered to be a physiologic condition caused by columnar epithelium migration from the cervical canal into the vaginal portion of the cervix and usually there is no treatement for clinically asymptomatic cervical ectropion . Treatment can be achieved by thermal cauterization (Electrocautery), Cryosurgery or laser vaporization. Aim of the study: To study the effectiveness of CO2 laser (10600nm) in treatment of symptomatic cervical ectropion . Setting: The study was carried out at Laser Medicine Research Clinic at the Institute of Laser for Postgraduate Studies, University of Baghdad between the first of August 2013 to the end of October 2013. Patients and Methods: Ten female Patients with age range between 25-48 years old were collected from Department of Health (Pap smear unit) at Al-Ilwiya Maternity Hospital. Patients who were diagnosed clinically as having cervical ectropion were subjected to Pap smear in order to exclude an underlying dysplasia. The patients were subjected to CO2 laser vaporization in a continuous mode. Results: All patients were subjected to continuous wave laser and the range of power was from 5 up to 10 W. The exposure time ranged from 1-2 minutes according to size of the ectrpion and patient`s cooperation. There was no bleeding nor pain intraoperatively. No bleeding post operatively and all with rapid return to the normal activity . Only patients with Pap smear findings of trichomoniasis or monilia received the appropriate antibiotic treatment before laser ablation. Most patients didn`t require analgesics nor anesthesia and no need for antibiotics postoperatively. Conclusion: CO2 laser vaporization with a power range of 5-10 W (mean power 7.9 W) and exposure time ranged from 1-2 minutes appears to be quite effective for treatment of cervical ectropion .By laser we can go more precise in the tissue and we can reach squamocolumnar junction and destroy the deepest glands and so the whole region can be treated. There is good and rapid healing, insignificant bleeding and pain postoperatively.
In recent years, there has been a rise in interest in the study of antibiotic occurrence in the aquatic environment due to the negative consequences of prolonged exposure and the potential for bacterial antibiotic resistance. Most antibiotic residues from treated wastewater end up in the aquatic environment as they are not eliminated in facilities that treat wastewater. Antibiotics must be identified in influent and effluent wastewater using reliable analytical techniques for several reasons. Firstly, monitoring antibiotic presence in aquatic environments. Secondly, assessing environmental risks, computing wastewater treatment plant removal efficiencies, and estimating antibiotic consumption. Therefore, this work aims to provide an overview

The prepared derivative and complexes were evaluated as antibacterial and antifungal agents following the standard dilution method. MIC(minimum inhibitory concentration) for each polymer using ten types of gram + ve and gram _ ve bacteria were determinated in addition to three types of fungi. The results obtainded showed that MIC, s were around 0.0011 × 103 molar for different polymetric derivatives tried.
Isocratic high performance liquid chromatography on reversed phase a (150x 4.6 mm I.D), 5 ?m ?-Bondapak RP-8 column (with acidic mobile phase allow the separation of doxcycycline hydrochloride with low detection limit of 0.2 µg/ml detected by UV set at 226 nm. The method was validated for Doxycycline between 0.156- to 5 µg/ml. The concentration of doxycycline was assessed in two single dose randomized crossover studies with intervals of one week between two period. In sera of 20 adults healthy male volunteers with average age of (42 + 10) year, body weight 48-85 kg, body height of (160-185cm) after a single dose of doxycycline hydrochoride 100 mg in form of capsules were orally administrated for both formulations. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the applications of these method, and to compare the computed results with other known methods.
The anatomical features of Agave americana L. leaf have been described, transverse sections of the leaf have been examined, the epidermis is single-layered on both surfaces, the stomata are sunken and mesophyll is (2-3) layers of parenchyma cells, vascular bundles are collateral type. The pollen of A. americana was studied. The observation was made with L.M. (Light microscope) and S.E.M. (Scanning electron microscope) to determine the significance of pollen features as taxonomic characters. The pollen was monades, homopolar, monosulcate, and with large size, subprolate in shape from P/E ratio (Polar axis/ Equatorial diameter) and furrow length and width, exine thickness and ornamentation.
A solid Phase Extraction (SPE) cartridges followed by HPLC-UV method is described for the simultaneous quantitative determination of benzidine (BZ) and its substituted 3, 3’-dichlorobenzidine (DCB) and 3, 3’-Dimethylbenzidine (DMB). The Benzidines were separated by liquid chromatography using a C-18 column with UV detector at wave length of 280nm. The mode of Flow was isocratic. The mobile phase was consisted of 75:25 methanol: water, column temperature 50C°, and Flow Rate 1.8ml/min. Calibration curves were linear (R2 = 0.9979-0.9995). LOD (26.36-33.67) µg/L, LOQ (109.98-186.11) µg/L, the Robustness (2.99-4.35), Ruggedness (2.93-3.65).Conditions of extraction by (SPE) cartridges were optimized, the resin used is Octadecyl silica (ODS

These chalcones are very useful precursors for the synthesis of pyrazoline, isoxazoline, pyrmidine, cyclohexenone and indazole derivatives. All these compounds are characterized by their melting points, FTIR and 1 HMNR (for some of them) spectral dat

Informing means informing and informing, which is conveying information to someone and confirming his narration with it. Accordingly, information is its main content..and it has multiple means, including visual, audio and read, and it has become the dominant role in the process of socialization, and much of what we hear, read, or watch in the media is not devoid of a goal, and expresses that scientifically as “charged with values” ( Value Loaded)..Values that are: the set of beliefs that the individual holds towards things, meanings, and various aspects of activity, which direct his desires and attitudes towards them, and determine for him acceptable and unacceptable behavior, right and wrong, and all of this

T2DM patients have a higher fracture hazard, having a high BMD, which is primarily due to the raise hazard of falling. Macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) is one of the hematopoietic growth factor family, and It plays an important function in fracture repair by attracting stem cells to the fracture site and influencing the production of hard calluses by promoting osteoclast genesis.Aims of study: The purpose of this research was to assess the blood level of macrophage colony-stimulating factor in Iraqi osteoporotic patients with and without type 2 diabetes. in addition, that M-CSF may be a predictiv
