Comparative Histological Study of Dentinopulpal Responses in Class I Cavity Treated by Er: YAG Laser and Conventional Cavity Preparations: An in Vivo Trial
...Show More Authors

The purpose of this study is to investigate the histopathological response of dentinopulpal
response of human teeth to the Er: YAG laser cavity preparation in comparison with the conventional
class I cavity preparation. Thirty five sound human upper and lower first premolar teeth which were
needed to be extracted for orthodontic purposes were used in the study. Regarding to the method of
cavity preparation, the teeth were grouped into three groups; Group1; Control group which consists of
seven sound teeth without cavity preparation, Group2; Conventional cavity preparation group and group
3; Er: YAG laser cavity preparation group. Each of Group2 and3 consists of fourteen teeth that is
subdivided into: A. 7teeth that extracted after two days after cavity preparation and B. 7 teeth that
extracted after twenty-one days after cavity preparation. Er: YAG Laser device emits radiation at
wavelength of 2940 nm in the infrared region. The laser irradiation was performed in a non-contact mode
with a focused beam of (energy density of 155985.96 mJ /cm2, energy of 600 mJ and a PRRs of 6 Hz for
enamel preparation) and (energy density=64994.151 mJ /cm2, energy = 250 mJ and a PRRs=4 Hz for
dentin preparation) with a spot diameter of 0.7mm at 12-15 mm distance and at right angle to the tooth
surface as possible. The histopathological results of the cavities prepared by Er: YAG Laser revealed the
early proliferation of the odontoblasts in the odontoblastic layer of the coronal part of the pulp which led
to the early formation of the reparative dentin in comparison to those prepared by conventional method.
It can be concluded that the use of the Er: YAG laser in class I cavity preparation has proved to be an
efficient technique in comparison to the conventional cavity preparation.

Impact of Brix 3000 and conventional restorative treatment on pain reaction during caries removal among group of children in Baghdad city
...Show More Authors

Background: Pain and the usage of local anesthetic agents are still real problem in pediatric dentistry, for these reasons, the use of minimal invasive dentistry (MID) in regard to the patient comfort is important especially for children, anxious and uncooperative patients. Chemomechanical caries removal (CMCR) methods involve the selective removal of the carious dentine hence it avoided the painful removal of the sound dentine and the anxiety resulted due to the vibration of the hand piece which is also decreased thus it appears to be more acceptable and comfortable to the patient. Aims of this study: This study was conducted among group of children to assess and compare the anxiety rating scale (during and after treatment) between the

The tagged research (realism in the Paintings of Iraqi Kurdistan artists, “a study of expression methods”) dealt with realism in an objective way, as well as the complexity of its concepts through its formations and formations. On realism and its historical dimension in concept and meaning, as for the second chapter, the research was focused on the methods of expression in painting, while the third chapter was concerned with the procedural applications of realistic methods of expression in the drawings of Iraqi Kurdistan, and according to these axes and to achieve the goal of the research, a number of Among the results are:

The study aimed to reveal the role of social capital represented by its dimensions (structural, relational, and cognitive) in strengthening the management of excellence in Azadi Hospital / Duhok. In order to reach the goal of the study, the study variables were highlighted in theory through framing concepts and literary contributions for researchers in this field, In the field, the questionnaire was used as a basic tool to collect data from the individuals in the research sample who were represented by officials and individuals working from administrators and technicians, as (120) forms were distributed to the respondents, and (110) were retrieved from them in a way that is valid for analysis. Several statistical methods have bee

Parametric Study of Mixed Convective Radiative Heat Transfer in an Inclined Annulus
...Show More Authors

The steady state laminar mixed convection and radiation through inclined rectangular duct with an interior circular tube is investigated numerically for a thermally and hydrodynamicaly fully developed flow. The two heat transfer mechanisms of convection and radiation are treated independently and simultaneously. The governing equations which used are continuity, momentum and energy equations. These equations are normalized and solved using the Vorticity-Stream function and the Body Fitted Coordinates (B.F.C) methods. The finite difference approach with the Line Successive Over-Relaxation (LSOR) method is used to obtain all the computational results. The (B.F.C) method is used to generate the grid of the problem. Background: The bond strength of the root canal sealers to dentin seems to be a very important property for maintaining the integrity and the seal of root canal filling. The aim of this study was to evaluate the shear bond strength of four different obturation systems using push-out test. Materials and methods: Forty straight palatal roots of the maxillary first molars teeth were used in this study, these roots were instrumented using crown down technique and ProTaper system, instrumentation were done with copious irrigation of 2.5% sodium hypochlorite and 17% buffered solution of EDTA was used as final irrigant followed by distilled water, roots were randomly divided into four groups according to the obturation system (ten teeth for each g
