Kinetic Study of Transesterification Reaction of Edible Oil Using Heterogenous Catalyst
...Show More Authors

AlPO4 solid acid catalyst was prepared in order to use it in transesterification reaction of edible oil after supporting it with tungsten oxide. The maximum conversion of edible oil was obtained 78.78% at catalyst concentration (5gm.), temperature 70°Ϲ, 30/1 methanol/edible oil molar ratio, and time 5hr. The study of kinetics of the transesterification reaction of edible oil indicates that the reaction has an order of 3/2, while the value of activation energy for  transesterification reaction is 51.367 kJ/mole and frequency factor equal 26219.13(L/ mol.minute).

Effect of physical exertion training on bio-kinetic abilities in weightlifting among students of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
...Show More Authors

The objective of this research was to study the effect of physical exertion training on bio-kinetic abilities in weightlifting among students of Physical Education and Sports Sciences. The present study had a pre-posttest experimental design in which participants were recruited in two groups: experimental group and control group. A total of 30 students of Physical Education and Sports Sciences constituted the sample of the study. The sample selection was done by a comprehensive inventory method. Participants were equally allocated into two groups with n=15 in each group. Participants of experimental group were made to perform special physical exercises with three training units per week during eight weeks. The statisti

Modeling and Simulation of Copper Removal from the Contaminated Soil by a Combination of Adsorption and Electro-kinetic Remediation
...Show More Authors

Electro-kinetic remediation technology is one of the developing technologies that offer great promise for the cleanup of soils contaminated with heavy metals. A numerical model was formulated to simulate copper (Cu) transport under an electric field using one-dimensional diffusion-advection equations describing the contaminant transport driven by chemical and electrical gradients in soil during the electro-kinetic remediation as a function of time and space. This model included complex physicochemical factors affecting the transport phenomena, such as soil pH value, aqueous phase reaction, adsorption, and precipitation. One-dimensional finitedifference computer program successfully predicted meaningful values for soil pH profiles and Cu

Experimental and finite element analysis of mechanical behavior of concrete damaged by Alkali Aggregate Reaction (AAR) and repaired with CFRP Layers
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Concrete structures is affected by a deleterious reaction, which is known as Alkali Aggregate Reaction (AAR). AAR can be defined as a chemical reaction between the alkali content in the pore water solution of the cement paste and reactive forms of silica hold in the aggregate. This internal reaction produces expansion and cracking in concrete, which can lead to loss of strength and stiffness. Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) is one of the methods used to suppress further AAR expansion and rehabilitate and support damaged concrete structures. In this research, thirty-six cylindrical specimens were fabricated from non-reactive and reactive concrete, which contained fused silica as</p> ... Show More

Studies on The Effect of Temperature on The Charge Transfer Reaction Rate of N3 Dye When Contacted With Zinc Sulfide Semiconductor
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>In this paper, the effect of temperature on the charge transfer rate of dye (N3) in contact with ZnS semiconductors is discussed and studied when electrons move from the excited N3 dye to the conduction band of ZnS based on quantum shift theory. In a heterogeneous system, the energy levels are assumed to be continuous, and the N3-ZnS system is surrounded by a variety of polar solvent media. The transition energy of the N3/ZnS heterojunction was calculated using seven different solvents at room temperature, considering the refractive index and dielectric constant of the solvents and the ZnS semiconductor, respectively. The charge-transport reaction rate was calculated over different te</p> ... Show More

Impact of Brix 3000 and conventional restorative treatment on pain reaction during caries removal among group of children in Baghdad city
...Show More Authors

Background: Pain and the usage of local anesthetic agents are still real problem in pediatric dentistry, for these reasons, the use of minimal invasive dentistry (MID) in regard to the patient comfort is important especially for children, anxious and uncooperative patients. Chemomechanical caries removal (CMCR) methods involve the selective removal of the carious dentine hence it avoided the painful removal of the sound dentine and the anxiety resulted due to the vibration of the hand piece which is also decreased thus it appears to be more acceptable and comfortable to the patient. Aims of this study: This study was conducted among group of children to assess and compare the anxiety rating scale (during and after treatment) between the

GLOBAL GREEN FINANCE AS A CATALYST FOR ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY WITH REFERENCE TO IRAQ'S AGRICULTURAL SMES
...Show More Authors

This research aims to examine the role of global green finance as a critical driver of both economic and environmental sustainability within small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises (SMEs) in Iraq. Utilizing a convergent mixed-methods framework, the study integrates qualitative interviews with key stakeholders and a quantitative survey of 300 agricultural SMEs to assess the barriers, enablers, and institutional conditions influencing the adoption of green finance. The findings indicate that, despite growing awareness and substantial latent demand for sustainability-linked investments, adoption is significantly constrained by institutional fragmentation, regulatory ambiguity, and resource limitations at the firm level. Recent Updates on Pd-Incorporated Ionic Liquids Catalyzed Suzuki Cross-Coupling Reaction: A Mini-Review
...Show More Authors

Ionic liquids (ILs) have been recognized for their potential as environmentally friendly solvents when compared to traditional organic solvents. Additionally, their function goes beyond that of solvents, and cocatalysts, as they frequently act as stabilizing agents and ligands for the metal-active species and intermediates in catalytic systems. This comprehensive review primarily focuses on the application of Pd-incorporated ILs in catalyzing cross-coupling Suzuki reactions. The responses play a vital role in creating a wide range of structurally diverse and highly functionalized organic compounds, focusing specifically on nucleopalladation Suzuki coupling reactions. The review provides a detailed summary of the reaction conditions, stereos
