Double hydrothermal method was used to prepare nano gamma alumina using aluminum nitrate nano hydrate and sodium aluminate as an aluminum source, CTAB (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) as surfactant, and variable acids: weak acids like; citric, and acitic acids, and strong acids like; hydrochloric and nitric acids as a bridge between aluminum salts and surfactant. Different crystallization times 12, 24, 48, and 72 hrs were applied. All the batches were prepared at pH equals to 9. XRD diffraction technique was used to investigate the crystalline nano gamma alumina pure from surfactant. N2 adsorption-desorption (BET) was used to measure the surface area and pore volume of the prepared nano alumina, the average particle size and the morphology of the surface of nano gamma alumina were estimated using AFM and SEM techniques, respectively. The sharpness of the peaks increased with increasing of crystallization time. The surface area, pore volume, and average particle size were decreased with increasing crystallization time. The best result of surface area was 383 m2/gm obtained using citric acid at 12 hr crystallization time, while the best results of pore volume and average particle size were 0.54cm3/gm and 72.37nm obtained using hydrochloric acid at12 hr crystallization time. Low agglomeration with hexagonal structure obtained using weak acids, while agglomeration occurred and clusters formed using strong acids.

... Show MoreThis paper presents a numerical scheme for solving nonlinear time-fractional differential equations in the sense of Caputo. This method relies on the Laplace transform together with the modified Adomian method (LMADM), compared with the Laplace transform combined with the standard Adomian Method (LADM). Furthermore, for the comparison purpose, we applied LMADM and LADM for solving nonlinear time-fractional differential equations to identify the differences and similarities. Finally, we provided two examples regarding the nonlinear time-fractional differential equations, which showed that the convergence of the current scheme results in high accuracy and small frequency to solve this type of equations.
A study has been performed to compare the beddings in which ductile iron pipes are buried. In water transmission systems, bends are usually used in the pipes. Show MoreThis paper includes simulating an electron gun design to investigate the effect of the distance between the cathode and the Wehnelt cylinder bore on the quality of the ion beam emittance and to obtain the best distance of that geometrical factor. A study of a group of designs was conducted to find this distance. The SIMION8.0 program has been used to calculate the trajectories of the electrons with initial kinetic energy of (0.1 eV) and electron current of (1×10-12 A). The investigation also includes comparisons between the equipotential line trajectories for each design as well as the field distribution and the electron trajectories. The best emittance distance was concluded to be (3 mm).
