    The examination of gills of the common carp Cyprinus carpio revealed the presence of two species of the family Trichodinidae belonging to the genus Dipartiella (Raabe, 1959) Stein, 1961 namely D. indiana Saha and Bandyopadhyay, 2017 and D. kazubski Mitra and Bandyopadhyay, 2009 for the first time in Iraq from Al-Graiat location on the Tigris River at Baghdad city. This also represents the first record of the genus Dipartiella from fishes of Iraq. The descriptions and measurements of these two parasite species as well as their illustrations were given.

In this study , the effect of an organic compound prepared as derivative of oxazepine tested on the activities of aspartate amino trasferase (AST) and alanin amino transferase (ALT). The kinetic study of such enzymes is in the presence of oxazepine derivative.  The results revealed that the organic compound is a non competitive inhibitor for both enzymes.  The Km value for AST is 1.3 × 10-3 M and Vmax for the uninhibited is 200 U/mL and for the inhibited is 111.1 U/mL while Km value for ALT is 2.5 × 10-3 M and Vmax are 89.66 U/mL and 56.77 U/mL for the uninhibited and inhibited enzyme respectively.

Comparative cytogenetic studies were carried out on males of two species of flour beetles, Rust flour beetle Tribolium castaneum and Confused flour beetle Tribolium confusum to investigate the karyotype. In these species, somatic chromosomes were arranged according to its  length except the sex chromosomes.  Results of this study showed that complete chromosomes karyotyping  (2n)  of      T.castaneum equaled to twenty chromosomes ( 2n=20, XY ) whereas (2n) T.confusum equaled eighteen chromosomes ( 2n= 18,XY). Background: In this study we evaluate the effect of plasma treatment (oxygen and argon) gas in two different exposure times on the surface of heat cure and light cure acrylic resin. Materials and method: 100 specimens of heat cure and light cure acrylic resin were fabricated.
