Background Obstructing dentinal tubules is a valuable approach for managing dentin hypersensitivity. Although various agents promote dentin remineralization, direct comparisons between theobromine, bioactive glass (BAG), and nano-hydroxyapatite (Nano-HAP) under simulated oral conditions remain limited. To fill this gap, this in vitro study aimed to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of these three treatments on exposed cervical dentin. The assessment focused on their chemical, morphological, and mechanical effects on dentin. Materials and methods Forty-eight human dentin slabs were obtained from the cervical portions of twelve sound premolar teeth. Baseline Raman spectroscopy and VMH tests were done to exclude outliers. All specimens were treated with 6 % citric acid (pH 2.0) for 2 min to remove the smear layer. They randomly assigned to four groups (n = 12): artificial saliva (AS), theobromine, BAG, and Nano-HAP. Evaluations were conducted using Raman spectroscopy (phosphate peak intensity at 960cm−1), Vickers microhardness testing (VMH), and morphological assessment under scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Results Theobromine, BAG, and nano-HAP groups demonstrated a statistically significant increase in Raman phosphate peak intensity (960cm−1) and Vickers microhardness values (p < 0.05), indicating surface remineralization. In contrast, the artificial saliva group exhibited a significant decrease in phosphate peak intensity and microhardness values (p < 0.05). Conclusion All tested agents significantly enhanced the Raman phosphate peaks and microhardness values compared to the control. Nano-HAP showed the highest potential for promoting the remineralization of exposed dentin surfaces. Within the study's limitations, it can be concluded that theobromine, BAG, and nano-HAP are effective in occluding dentinal tubules.

The interactions of drug amoxicillin with maltose or galactose solutions with a variation of temperature have been discussed by taking in the volumetric and viscometric procedures. Physical properties [densities (ρ) and viscosities (η)] of amoxicillin (AMOX) aqueous solutions and aqueous solutions of two type saccharides (maltose and galactose 0.05m) have been measured at T = (298.15, 303.15 and 308.15) K under atmospheric pressure. The apparent molar volume (ϕv cm3mole-1) has been evaluated from density data and fitted to a Redlich-Mayer equation. The empirical parameters of the Mayer-Redlich equation and apparent molar volume at infinite dilution ذv were explicated in terms of interactions from type solute-solvent and solute

The study is a randomized, double-blind pilot study conducted during the period May to September, 2020. Fifty patients were recruited in the study and they were allocated into two groups (25 per each group): Ginkgo biloba and Metformin groups, they received (120 mg Ginkgo biloba extract/ capsule) and (500 mg Metformin/ capsule) respectively; orally as a single dose for 90 days. Background: Sonographic examination is an important tool in assessment of normal and abnormal cervical lymph nodes. The aim of the study is to assess the distribution and the characteristic features of normal cervical lymph nodes in a sample of Syrian population. Materials and Methods: Fifty healthy Syrian subjects (25 men and 25 women) with an age of 20 -60years old, who had their cervical lymph nodes examined by ultrasound. Three hundred and two lymph nodes were detected. Lymph nodes were evaluated for their number, size, site, echogenic hilus, shape, as well as for the border sharpness. The subjects were categorized by age into four groups, (20 -30, 31 - 40 , 41 - 50 , 51- 60 years ). Statistical analysis of data was done using SP
