The present study offered a straightforward, eco-friendly method for the green synthesis of nanoparticles, as it has gained significant attention in recent years. The study set out to demonstrate the bio-synthesis of nanoparticles using common plants such as Eruca sativa know as (jarjer) and Allium ampeloprasum var. porrum know as (korath) to produce copper oxides nanoparticles (CuO NPs) for treating the heavy metal pollution water of Baher Al-Najaf. The result shows the higher level in heavy metal was lead (Pb) 4.6184mg L-1 mg/l followed by the Chromium (Cr) 0.2892 mg L -1 and Cadmium (Cd) 0.1531 mg L-1 mg/l. the Eruca sativa show high efficiency of decreasing the concentration of Lead metal by dropping it to 1.2803 mg L-1, while decreasing the Chromium to 0.0144 mg L-1. Also, the study conducts a multiple analysis and devices to create an optimal condition for copper oxide bio-synthesis such as ultraviolet- visible (UV-Vis) Atomic force microscope (AFM) Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The result of AFM analysis show that the average dimeter for the copper oxide for the Eruca sativa was 125.7 nm with height of 1186 nm And for the Allium ampeloprasum var. porrum was 71.4 nm and a height of 840. 6nm.The Fourier Transforms Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy Analysis for the Eruca sativa appears in the broad peak at 597.89-430.01/cm-1, Allium ampeloprasum var. porrum appears in the broad peak at 557.39-430.01/cm-1.
Copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles were synthesized through the thermal decomposition of a copper(II) Schiff-base complex. The complex was formed by reacting cupric acetate with a Schiff base in a 2:1 metal-to-ligand ratio. The Schiff base itself was synthesized via the condensation of benzidine and 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde in the presence of glacial acetic acid. This newly synthesized symmetric Schiff base served as the ligand for the Cu(II) metal ion complex. The ligand and its complex were characterized using several spectroscopic methods, including FTIR, UV-vis, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, CHNS, and AAS, along with TGA, molar conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The CuO nanoparticles were produced by thermally decomposing the

Show More<p>The polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/polysulfone (PSF) blended polymer membranes were modified by decaethylene glycol monododecyl ether (C12EO10) as a non-ionic surfactant. Polymeric solutions containing 17 wt.% of both PAN and PSF with a ratio of 80/20, and C12EO10 with a mass concentration of 6 wt.% and aluminium oxide (Al2O3) nanoparticles with varying concentrations (1, 2, and 3 wt.%) were prepared. Adding 6 wt.% of C12EO10 to the casting solution formed a membrane with distinguished hydrophilicity and fouling resistance, higher porosity, appreciable pe

Methodology: Descriptive study conducted in Al- Najaf City/Iraq on students at secondary schools, those aged (12-24) years old, for the period from the 13ed of November 2015 and up to 4ed of August 2015. The sample included secondary school from those schools . Data is collected through a constructed questionnaire, reliability and students (intermediate and secondary) (540) student; (270) male and (270) females who are selected randomly content validity process has been determined for the instrument. This study estimated seven heavy metals (Fe, Cu, Zn, Pb, Ni, Cd, Cr) in water (dissolved and particulate phase), sediments and some aquatic organisms including two species from aquatic plants (Ceratophyllum demersum&Phragmites australis); one species of clam (Psedontopeses euphratics) and two species from fish (Oreochromis aureus& Leuciscus vorax)in four sites within Mashroo AL- Musayyib channel project/ branch of Euphrates river, Babylon , medial of Iraq . This aims to show the concentration of these elements, their fate and the mechanisms of their transmission through the food chain in this lotic aquatic system ; also in addition to examining some physicochemical properties of ri

Show MoreThis study was conducted to determine the ability of water treatment system (Vortisand) to reduce some chemical and physical properties for tigris river raw water, It consisted of turbidity, electrical conductivity, pH, total hardness, calcium Hardness as well as temperature in order to determine the unit`s efficiency for reducing their concentration as compared to those in the water produced by some classical potable water projects (Dora and Wathba) in Baghdad. Samples were collected during the cold months (December 2016 and January 2017) and during the hot months (May and June 2017). The results showed that this system has the ability to reduce some properties such as turbidity, the values were 215NTU in raw water and decreased to NTU
... Show MoreIn spite of increasing clinical cases which caused by enteroviruses transferred by water and no documents about entericviruses in the Iraqi water standards. The use of coliphages as an indicator of enteroviruses and fecal pollution were suggested two procedures were applied . The first is Two-Step Enrichment Method and the second is Single Agar Layer Method. Both methods gives good results in Identification of coliphages through testing fifty different water samples (Tap water, Surface water and Bottled water) the study shows the presence of coliphages in fourteen samples.
