Effect of Carbamazepine drug on formation of decidual tissue in femal of Mus musculus

Implantation of blastocyst is considered as a sensitive process in the life of growing embryo. Thus this critical period could be under threat from the harmful effect of many drugs ,among them is the carbamazepine which is used by many women for a treatment of epilepsy . The present experiment was designed to study the effect of this drug on the process of implantation ;especially during the days 7 and 9 of pregnancy. For those purpose 169 pregnant albino mice, of 25 gm weight for each one, were used .The mice were divided into control group given orally normal saline, and treated group given orally carbamazepine with concentration of 15 mg\kg. Samples from pregnant uteri containing the embryos were used. They were first fixed in Boun's solution and 5-8 um paraffin sections were cut to be stained with H and E and one step trichrome stains. The results from control group and treated group have demonstrated that there was no effect of the drug on the process of implantation and the formation of decidual tissue which accompanied the implantation. Both control group and treated groups were showing the same results. In addition to that the blood vessels were well developed at the site of implantation. All these results were signs of success of early period of pregnancy.

Microfacies Evaluation of Mauddud Formation in Ratawi Field, South Iraq

This paper includes studying the microfacies evalution of Mauddud Formaion in
four wells(Rt-2, Rt-5, Rt17 and Rt-19). Seventy-seven(77) sampels were collected
of above mentioned wells. Based on fossil content of the samples under study, four
main microfacies were identified: packstone , wakestone , grainstone and lime
mudstone microfacies ,which deposited in shallow open marine and restricted
marine environments. Petrographic examination of thin section indicated that
diagenesis vary in intensity from one site to another, such as dissolution,
cementation, compaction, dolomitization and micritization, which led to the
improvement and deterioration of porosity. The dominant pore types are vuggy,
interparticle and

The Microfacies Analysis of Mishrif Formation in Gharraf Oil Field

Six main microfacies are identified which are Lime Mudstone, Bioclastic Wackeston, Bioclastic Packstone-Wackestone, Bioclastic Wackestone- Mudestone, Pelagic Mudstone–Wackestone, Bioclastic Packstone -Grainston Microfacies in addition to their associated depositional environment. The diagenesis process have affected the Mishrif rocks and played a role in deteriorating reservoir porosity in well Ga-2 and enhancing it in well Ga1,3.These processes include: cementation, micritization, recrystallization, dissolution, compaction pressure solution and dolomitization.

The impact of Glucose and Sodium Chloride on the Biofilm Formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Staphylococcus aureus

The aim of this research is to evaluate the effect of glucose and sodium chloride on biofilm formation by bacteria causing wound infection. For this purpose, 1% and 2% concentration of each of glucose and sodium chloride were used to test the biofilm formation potential of Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which were the most common abundant bacteria that cause infection by biofilm. Each of the concentrations was kept in contact with the pathogenic bacteria for 24 hours. After the period of incubation, the concentration of 1% of glucose enhanced moderate biofilm formation capacity for (66% and 80%) on both bacteria respectively. The concentration of 2% glucose, on the other hand, led to a weak biofilm fo
