Surficial sediment samples were collected from four stations at Shatt Al-Hilla from Western Zoer area to Almaimirh in Babylon province for the period from August 2016 to April 2017.The level of contamination in the sediments of Shatt Al-Hilla, by Lead (Pb), Copper (Cu), Nickle (Ni), Manganese (Mn), Zinc (Zn), Arsenic (As), and Cobalt (Co) has been evaluated using the index of Geo-accumulation (I-Geo), Contamination factor (CF), pollution load index (PLI) and Potential ecological risk index (Eire). In the present study the levels of heavy metals in sediment samples were found in the range of (10-15.22 ppm) for Pb, (25.6-46.09 ppm) for Cu,(144.9-413.7 ppm) for Ni, (666.1- 906.3 ppm) for Mn, (68.69- 119.2 ppm) for Zn, for As (5.22- 8.25 ppm

      This work is an experimental study about the effects of gas pressure and magnetic field on plasma characteristics produced in an internal hollow electrodes discharge (HED) system. Al-Yusifia river was assessed at three sampling stations with study period from Autumn 2010 to the end of Summer 2011. The present investigation was carried out on diversity of fungi and bacteria from Al-Yusifia river, Baghdad city. During the study, a total of 12 fungal genus and 6 bacterial genus were isolated during the year seasons. The dominant fungus at the three stations were Penicillium sp., then Rhizopus and Trichophyton   megninii while the dominant bacteria was Escherichia coli and Klebsiella sp.

This paper investigated in the numerical simulation model to calculate the Earth magnetic field components at north provinces of Najaf city (Longitude 44.316 ^o -44.3592^o E and Latitude 32.0508^o - 32.0256^o N). The components of the Earth magnetic field (total intensity (F), horizontal intensity (H), declination (D), inclination (I), the north component(X), the east component(Y), and Down component(Z)) were found by using spherical harmonic world magnetic model (WMM2010). A great deal of anomaly has been discovered in all components of the Earth magnetic field at the selected region (Long. 44.345^o-44.335^o E, Lat.32.042^o-32.032^o N) using Kriging method.
