The current research aims to identify the level of mental alertness among students of the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences – Ibn Al-Haytham during the academic year (2022-2023). To achieve this goal, a descriptive approach was followed. The research community was identified as all chemistry students across the four grades (first, second, third, and fourth). A sample from each grade was selected for the current research. A tool was prepared to measure mental alertness within the research sample. The researcher adopted the scale by Baer, Smith, Kristemoyer, & Tany (2006), which was developed by Al-Buhairi et al. (2014), ensuring its validity, reliability, and psychometric characteristics, making it ready for application. The study aimed to investigate the relationship between the multiple intelligence and the numerical sense. The chosen population of the study was the 4th secondary stage students. The sample consisted of 400 female and male student. The researcher utilized two test; multiple intelligence test which include three categories of intelligence (logical-mathematical, spatial, and linguistics) consisted of (36) item, and the numerical sense test that consisted of (44) item. Simple and sensitive kinetic methods are developed for the determination of Paracetamol in pure form and in pharmaceutical preparations. The methods are based on direct reaction (oxidative-coupling reaction) of Paracetamol with o-cresol in the presence of sodium periodate in alkaline medium, to form an intense blue-water-soluble dye that is stable at room temperature, and was followed spectrophotometriclly at λmax= 612 nm. The reaction was studied kinetically by Initial rate and fixed time (at 25 minutes) methods, and the optimization of conditions were fixed. The calibration graphs for drug determination were linear in the concentration ranges (1-7 μg.ml-1) for the initial rate and (1-10 μg.ml-1) for the fixed time methods at 25 min.
