This study examines the effect of colonialism on Caribbean society during the colonial period. Through normalization, the British colonial power diminished Caribbean identity and planted a new hybrid identity. Discipline institutions and surveillance techniques had a vital role in normalizing Caribbean society. Caribbean authors have adopted this notion of normalization to represent the reality of colonialism and its consequences. George Lamming, one of the Caribbean political activist and influential novelist in his novel In the Castle of My Skin (1953), reflects normalization as theorized by Michael Foucault. Lamming depicts the story of villagers and their life under colonial domination. Through discipline institution, like school, colonial authority implanted in children mind and produce docile bodies. They are raised with the ideology of colonial privilege and their inferiority. The study was planned to evaluate the effect of adding Guanidinoacetic acid in some characteristics of the sperm of the rams. This study was conducted in the animal field of the Animal Production Department / Faculty of Agricultural Engineering Sciences / University of Baghdad, for the period from 5/8/2018 to 28/2/2019. In this experiment, 3 rams were used at the age of 2-2.5 years and weighed 50-54 kg. The semen was collected early in the morning and once a week and the semen was pooled to remove the individual differences. The present research aims at identifying the effect of the cognitive discrepancy strategy on the fourth-stage students’ achievement in literature and texts. The researcher adopted the null hypothesis: there is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average grades of the experimental group who study literature and texts following the discrepancies strategy, and those who follow the traditional method.
