Statistical Design based on Response Surface Methodology to Optimize the Production of a Yellow Pigment by Streptomyces thinghirensis AF7
...Show More Authors

Although its wide utilization in microbial cultures, the one factor-at-a-time method, failed to find the true optimum, this is due to the interaction between optimized parameters which is not taken into account. Therefore, in order to find the true optimum conditions, it is necessary to repeat the one factor-at-a-time method in many sequential experimental runs, which is extremely time-consuming and expensive for many variables. This work is an attempt to enhance bioactive yellow pigment production by Streptomyces thinghirensis based on a statistical design. The yellow pigment demonstrated inhibitory effects against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus and was characterized by UV-vis spectroscopy which showed lambda maximum of 449. The FTIR and GC-MS analysis showed that the colorings in this type of product are due to the presence of chromo peptides. Furthermore, the GC-MS measurement determined the presence of 4 compounds, as it gave 4 different retention times within this yellow pigment, but with different percentages, except for the compound BHT when the retention time was 17.86 minutes. Starch casein broth (SCB) was selected as an optimized medium for yellow pigment production. The optimization process was first started with one factor at time method, revealing that maltose and casein were the best carbon and nitrogen sources. Response surface methodology based on central composite design was conducted to obtain the optimal combinations of maltose and casein concentrations, pH, and inoculum size for maximum production of yellow pigment. The results showed that casein was the most effective parameter with F-value 393.1 and the model exhibited good fitting with a correlation coefficient of 0.946. Moreover, the actual maximum yellow pigment product 0.80 nm which aggregated with a predicted value 0.835 nm at maltose concentration 8 g/L, casein 5 g/L, KNO3 0.01 g/L, pH 6 and inoculum size 5%.

The most famous thing a person does is talk. He loves and hates, and continues with it confirming relationships, and with it, too, comes out of disbelief into faith. Marry a word and separate with a word. He reaches the top of the heavens with a kind word, with which he will gain the pleasure of God, and the Lord of a word that the servant speaks to which God writes with our pleasure or throws him on his face in the fire. Emotions are inflamed, the United Nations is intensified with a word, and relations between states and war continue with a word.

What comes out of a person’s mouth is a translator that expresses the repository of his conscience and reveals the place of his bed, for it is evidence of

Controlling the Salt Wedge Intrusion in Shatt Al-Arab River by a Barrage
...Show More Authors

Shatt Al-Arab River in Al Basrah, Iraq, has recently recorded massive levels of TDS values (Total Dissolved Solids) in the water as a result of reduced fresh water discharge from sources, causing the river to become salinized due to salt wedge intrusion. Therefore, a block dam in the south reach is required to salt intrusion prevention. The main objective of this research is to simulate the hydraulic impact of a suggested barrage in Ras Al Besha on the Shatt Al-Arab River. The HEC-RAS (5.0.7) model was used to develop a one-dimensional unsteady model to gaining an understanding of the proposed barrage's influence on river behaviour. The daily discharges of the Tigris River provided as the upstream boundary conditions, wh

It should bring to light the hidden causes, hence  his personal interest is to strip darkness and explore the inward motives. To do this he uses a cluster of images: a constant building up and breaking down of images. ABSTRACT Purpose: the aim of this in vitro study was to compare the marginal gap and internal fitness between single crowns and the crowns within three-unit bridges of zirconium fabricated by CAD-CAM system. Materials and methods: A standard model from ivoclar company was used as a pattern to simulate three-units bridge (upper first molar and upper first premolar) as abutments used to fabricate stone models, eight single crowns for premolar and eight of three units bridges. Crowns and bridges fabricated by CAD-CAM system were cemented on their respective stone models then sectioned at the mid-point buccolingaully and misiodistaly and examined under stereomicroscope. Result: the marginal gap in premolar crowns and premolar within bridge we
