Diese Forschungsarbeit versteht sich als ein Versuch zur syntaktischen und semantischen Beschreibung des BereichesFragesatz im Deutschen und Arabischen. Hinsichtlich der bedeutsamen Rolle des Fragefeldes haben wir den Entschluss gefasst, dieses Thema im Deutschen und Arabischen zu untersuchen. Diese Forschungsarbeit hat darüber hinaus das Ziel, die Satzarten, besonders die Fragesätze im Deutschen und Arabischen genau zu erläutern. Dieser Beitrag unternimmt also den Versuch, den Bereich desFragesatzes mit seinen vielseitigen Aspekten im Deutschen und ihre Entsprechung im Arabischen zu beschreiben, sowie die entsprechenden Formen der Fragesätze zwischen den beiden Sprachen zu bestimmen. The present study aims to show the importance of ESL reading ability in acquiring English as a second language. The study involves 92 college students (males and females) from the Department of English at Nizwa College of Applied Sciences, Sultanate of Oman. They represent two groups, the foundation year students and the first year English majors. A number of tests were used to measure students’ overall proficiency in English as well as their reading ability (i.e., the ability to contribute to the main idea of the text, scanning, skimming, to derive word meanings from context, to use a dictionary to find meanings, definitions, to identify prefixes, antonyms and synonyms). This study aimed to identify the employment of the social networking platform «Twitter» in the 2016 presidential campaign led by the Republican candidate, Donald Trump; and analyse his tweets through his personal account on «Twitter»  for the period from: 10/ 8/2016 to: 11/ 8/2016 which represents the last month of the election campaign.

The study belongs to the type of descriptive studies using the analytical method through an analysis index that includes sub-categories and other secondary categories. The research has adopted the ordinary unit of information material (tweet) as an analysis unit for this purpose.
