N-Benzylidene m-nitrobenzeneamines (Schiff bases) were prepared by condensation of m-nitroaniline with aromatic aldehydes. These Schiff bases were found to react with maleic anhydride to give 2-Aryl-3-(m-nitrophenyl)-2, 3-dihydro [1, 3] oxazepine–4, 7–diones and with phthalic anhydride to give 2-Aryl-3–(m-nitrophenyl)–2, 3–dihydrobenz|| 1, 2-e|||| 1, 3] oxazepine–4, 7-diones which were reacted with pyrrolidine to give the anilide–pyrrolidides of maleic acid and phthalic acid.

Four metal complexes mixed ligand of 2-aminophenol (2-AP) and tributylphosphine (PBu3) were produced in aqueous ethanol with (1:2:2) (M:2-AP:PBu3). The prepared complexes were identified by using flame atomic absorption, FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. In addition antibacterial activity of the two ligands and mixed ligand complexes oboist three species of bacteria were also examined. The ligands and their complexes show good bacterial activities. From the obtained data the octahedral geometry was suggested for all prepared complexes.

Seventy four (74) Iraqi breast cancer patients were involved at the study from the Histopathology Department at the Central Public Health Laboratory in Bagdad, Iraq. Amplification of HER2neu was detected in (33.8%) by fluorescence in situ hybridization and (13.51%) showed high amplification by chromogenic in situ hybridization and (32.43%) showed low amplification. The study aimed to evaluate the level of MMP‑2 in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients in comparison with that in remission status, and healthy subjects, and to find its correlation with hematologic parameters. This study included sixty newly diagnosed AML patients. Remission status was assessed after induction chemotherapy. The overall survival (OS) was determined after 6 months. The plasma MMP‑2 level was measured at diagnosis by enzyme immunoassay. Twenty‑eight healthy individuals were recruited as a control group.
