Hybrid Framework To Exclude Similar and Faulty Test Cases In Regression Testing
...Show More Authors

Regression testing is a crucial phase in the software development lifecycle that makes sure that new changes/updates in the software system don’t introduce defects or don’t affect adversely the existing functionalities. However, as the software systems grow in complexity, the number of test cases in regression suite can become large which results into more testing time and resource consumption. In addition, the presence of redundant and faulty test cases may affect the efficiency of the regression testing process. Therefore, this paper presents a new Hybrid Framework to Exclude Similar & Faulty Test Cases in Regression Testing (ETCPM) that utilizes automated code analysis techniques and historical test execution data to identity and exclude redundant, similar and faulty test cases from the given regression suite. Our experimental results clearly show the benefits of the ETCPM framework in terms of reduction in the testing time, optimization of the resource allocation, and improvement in the overall quality of regression test suite. ETCPM enables software development teams to achieve faster and reliable regression testing by intelligent exclusion of similar and fault test cases, which yields in reduction in the software delivery cycles and better end user satisfaction.

Water Quality Index of Euphrates River Near Al- Musayyab Power Plant
...Show More Authors

This research deals with analyzing samples of water from the Euphrates River before and after (50m, 200m, 500m, and 1000m from the outflow)the power plant of AL-Musayyab. A Water Quality Index (WQI) analysis was performed, which is a helpful tool for rapid estimation of the quality of any water resource.. Water quality of  the river was classified into good, poor, very poor, and unsuitable for drinking, based on physico-chemical parameters such as pH, total hardness (TH), and concentrations of the major ions of calcium (Ca+2), sodium (Na+), magnesium (Mg+2), potassium (K+), nitrate (NO3-2), sulphate (SO4-2), phosphate (PO4-2), and Chloride (Cl-),

A Visual Interface Design for Evaluating the Quality of Google Map Data for some Engineering Applications
...Show More Authors

Today, there are large amounts of geospatial data available on the web such as Google Map (GM), OpenStreetMap (OSM), Flickr service, Wikimapia and others. All of these services called open source geospatial data. Geospatial data from different sources often has variable accuracy due to different data collection methods; therefore data accuracy may not meet the user requirement in varying organization. This paper aims to develop a tool to assess the quality of GM data by comparing it with formal data such as spatial data from Mayoralty of Baghdad (MB). This tool developed by Visual Basic language, and validated on two different study areas in Baghdad / Iraq (Al-Karada and Al- Kadhumiyah). The positional accuracy was asses

Effect of the Iranian Seperation Dikes on the Water Salinity Patterns Within Al Huweizah Marsh
...Show More Authors

Al Huweizah Marsh is considered as the largest marsh at the southern part of Iraq. About one third of the marsh is located within the Iranian territory. Iran began to construct earth dikes along the Iraqi-Iranian international borders to separate the Iranian part of the marsh. The electrical conductivity, EC, value was adopted to be the indicator for the water salinity within the marsh. A steady two-dimensional water quality routing model was implemented by using the RMA2 and RMA4 softwares within the SMS computer package to estimate the distribution of the
EC values within the marsh seasonally during the wet, moderate and dry water years. The EC distribution Patterns were estimated considering the expected two cases of the marsh futu

The attribute quality control charts are one of the main useful tools to use in control of quality product in companies. In this paper utilizing the statistical procedures to find the attribute quality control charts for through fuzzified the real data which we got it from Baghdad Soft Drink Company in Iraq, by using triangular membership function to obtain the fuzzy numbers then employing the proposed ranking function to transform to traditional sample. Then, compare between crisp and fuzzy attribute quality control.

Specifying Quality of a Tight Oil Reservoir through 3-D Reservoir Modeling
...Show More Authors

Increasing hydrocarbon recovery from tight reservoirs is an essential goal of oil industry in the recent years. Building real dynamic simulation models and selecting and designing suitable development strategies for such reservoirs need basically to construct accurate structural static model construction. The uncertainties in building 3-D reservoir models are a real challenge for such micro to nano pore scale structure. Based on data from 24 wells distributed throughout the Sadi tight formation. An application of building a 3-D static model for a tight limestone oil reservoir in Iraq is presented in this study. The most common uncertainties confronted while building the model were illustrated. Such as accurate estimations of cut-off perm

Auto Colorization of Gray-Scale Image Using YCbCr Color Space
...Show More Authors

The process of converting gray images or videos to color ones by adding colors to them and transforming them from one-dimension to three-dimension is called colorization. This process is often used to make the image appear more visually appealing. The main problem with the colorization process is the lack of knowledge of the true colors of the objects in the picture when it is captured. For that, there is no a unique solution. In the current work, the colorization of gray images is proposed based on the utilization of the YCbCr color space. Reference image (color image) is selected for transferring the color to a gray image. Both color and gray images are transferred to YCbCr color space. Then, the Y value of the gray image is combined w

Practical Steps For Literal Translation: گــام¬های عـملی یک ترجــمهء حرفه¬ای
...Show More Authors

The present paper, practical methods of professional translation, discusses the most important methods to achieve an accurate effective translation from the source language text  to the equivalent target language text.

The present study suggests that practical translation like any literary activity is of six main stages that follow sequential order to achieve an accurate translation: (choosing the foreign text to be translated, the author of the text permission, the text translation, considering the title contextual meaning, reviewing the text translation, and finally finding a good publisher).

The Effect of Classification Methods on Facial Emotion Recognition ‎Accuracy
...Show More Authors

The interests toward developing accurate automatic face emotion recognition methodologies are growing vastly, and it is still one of an ever growing research field in the region of computer vision, artificial intelligent and automation. However, there is a challenge to build an automated system which equals human ability to recognize facial emotion because of the lack of an effective facial feature descriptor and the difficulty of choosing proper classification method. In this paper, a geometric based feature vector has been proposed. For the classification purpose, three different types of classification methods are tested: statistical, artificial neural network (NN) and Support Vector Machine (SVM). A modified K-Means clustering algorithm
