A Novel Gravity ‎Optimization Algorithm for Extractive Arabic Text Summarization

An automatic text summarization system mimics how humans summarize by picking the most ‎significant sentences in a source text. However, the complexities of the Arabic language have become ‎challenging to obtain information quickly and effectively. The main disadvantage of the ‎traditional approaches is that they are strictly constrained (especially for the Arabic language) by the ‎accuracy of sentence feature ‎functions, weighting schemes, ‎and similarity calculations. On the other hand, the meta-heuristic search approaches have a feature that tolerates imprecision, gets ‎prohibited results, and is not strictly bound by the above ‎restrictions. This ‎paper used the Gravitational Optimization Algorithm (GOA), a powerful metaheuristic ‎approach ‎based on the law of ‎gravity, to address the challenge of extractive summarizing Arabic texts. The objective function of the GOA algorithm is derived based on sentence significance, such as its length, ‎similarity degree, position, statistical term frequency, and named entity ownership. Essex Arabic ‎Summaries Corpus (EASC) was used to evaluate the proposed method and measured by the Recall-Oriented Understudy for Gisting Evaluation (ROUGE). The proposed approach achieved 68.04% Recall, ‎‎58.49% Precision, and 60.05% F1-measure using ROUGE-1, higher than standard summarizers and metaheuristic approaches

An Optimum Design of Cam Mechanisms with Roller Follower for Combined Effect of Impact and High Contact Loads

Preparation and Formation of Zeolite 5A from Local Kaolin Clay for Drying and Desuphurization of Liquefied Petroleum Gas

This work deals with preparation of zeolite 5A from Dewekhala kaolin clay in Al-Anbar region for drying and desulphurization of liquefied petroleum gas. The preparation of zeolite 5A includes treating kaolin clay with dilute hydrochloric acid 1N, treating metakaolin with NaOH solution to prepare 4A zeolite, ion exchange, and formation. For preparation of zeolite 4A, metakaolin treated at different temperatures (40, 60, 80, 90, and 100 °C) with different concentrations of sodium hydroxide solution (1, 2, 3, and 4 N) for 2 hours. A new, effective, simple and inexpensive method was developed for determination the amounts of Ciprofloxacin HCl in solutions and in tablets by spectrophotometry and turbidity using sodium tungstate as reagent. Also, in this paper comparison between two techniques was conducted. The reaction between the Ciprofloxacin HCl and reagent in acidic media formed a yellowish white complex. Chemical and physical conditions have been investigated. Determining the optimum conditions for bioemulsifier produced by Rhizobium leguminosarum biovar viciae isolated from Vicia faba root nodules

Preparation of Media for Growth and Isolation of Lactic Acid Bacteria by Using the Starch-Industry by- Products

By- products of corn starch industry were used to prepare media for propagation the lactic acid bacteria as a natural auxotroph. The by- products used were the corn steep water (S) and gluten extract (G) after a proper treatment to get them ready for media preparation. The results showed that it was possible to replace the peptone and meat extract by gluten extract in MRS medium. The growth was approximately similar to that obtained in standard MRS media.
