This work was conducted to determine the volumetric mass transfer coefficient (Ky.a) infixed bed adsorption using hexane-benzene mixture by adsorption onto a fixed bed of white silica gel. Benzene concentration was measured by gas chromatography. The effect of feed flow rate and initial concentration of benzene in hexane-benzene mixture on the volumetric mass transfer coefficient and on the adsorption capacity of silica gel was investigated.

A series of experiments were conducted for the first time in Iraq to evaluate the efficiency of five plant leaves extracts (Ibicella lutea, Nerium oleander, Clerodendron inerme, Allium cepa and Eucalyptus spp.) in treating the common carp (Cyprinus carpio) infected with monogenetic trematodes of genera Dactylogyrus. Five different concentrations of such extracts were used to bathe fishes for 5,10,15,20 and 25 minutes. A new method presented in this work to detect the existence of hidden

data as a secret message in images. This method must be applyied only on images which have the same visible properties (similar in perspective) where the human eyes cannot detect the difference between them.

This method is based on Image Quality Metrics (Structural Contents

Metric), which means the comparison between the original images and stego images, and determines the size ofthe hidden data. We applied the method to four different images, we detect by this method the hidden data and  find exactly the same size of the hidden data.
