Comprehensive researches to consider the behaviour of the metallic dampers have proven thatthe I-shaped link, designed to act as shear mechanism, serves as a ductile fuse. However, a key limitationis the reduced strength and stiffness of the system when these links are directly connected to the diagonalmember of a concentrically braced frame. The ability to inhibit corrosion of low carbon steel in a salt solution (3.5%NaCl) has been checked with three real expired drugs (Cloxacillin, Amoxicillin, Ceflaxin) with variable concentrations (0, 250, 500, 750) mg/L were examined in the weight loss.
