This study was conducted to determine the ability of water treatment system (Vortisand) to reduce some chemical and physical properties for tigris river raw water, It consisted of turbidity, electrical conductivity, pH, total hardness, calcium Hardness as well as temperature in order to determine the unit`s efficiency for reducing their concentration as compared to those in the water produced by some classical potable water projects (Dora and Wathba) in Baghdad. The influence of Cr3+ doping on the ground state properties of SrTiO 3 perovskite was evaluated using GGA-PBE approximation. Computational modeling results infered an agreement with the previously published literature. The modification of electronic structure and optical properties due to Cr3+ introducing into SrTiO 3 were investigated. Structural parameters assumed that Cr3+ doping alters the electronic structures of SrTiO 3 by shifting the conduction band through lower energies for the Sr and Ti sites. Besides, results showed that the band gap was reduced by approximately 50% when presenting one Cr3+ atom into the SrTiO 3 system and particularly positioned at Sr sites. Absorption and lifetime measurements were made for C6H6. and C6D6 molecules in pure solid phase and in solid matrices of Ar, N₂, CO, and CO₂. All measurement are made at low temperatures ranging between 12-50 K. A modified least square fitting deconvolution was utilized to measure the fluorescence lifetime with an error less than 1%. The results show that the use of matrix isolation technique offer a unique environment that minimize the perturbation of the molecular or atomic system and hence facilitate spectral analysis.
