The Effect of Aqueous and Alcoholic Extracts of Punica granatum L. Pericarp on Hemolysin Production of several Bacterial species
...Show More Authors

Four local hemolysin producer bacterial isolates were selected, tow of them gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli ,Pseudomonas aeruginosa ) and the other two were gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus , Bacillus cereus ). Minimum inhibitory concentration of the aqueous and alcoholic extracts of Punica granatum L. pericarp were determined towards the four bacterial isolates ,results obtaind showed that MICs of the aqueous extract were 200 mg/ml for E .coli and P. aeruginosa isolates while were 5 mg/ml and 2 mg/ml for B. cereus, S. aureus , respectively The MICs for the ethanolic extract were 50 mg/ml , 20 mg/ml ,1 mg/ml ,0.5 mg/ml for E. coli ,P. aeruginosa ,B. cereus ,S. aureus , respectively. The effect of Sub-MICs of the aqueous and alcoholic extracts on hemolysin production was investigated , both extracts had a suppressing effect on hemolysin production by E. coli ,P. aeruginosa ,while both extract had an inhibitory effect on hemolysin production by S. aureus and B . cereus isolates

The Extent to Which Public Relations Departments in Government Institutions Use Artificial Intelligence Applications in Their Communication Activities: A Field Study
...Show More Authors

Abstract This study explores the extent to which public relations (PR) departments within Traqj governmental institutions are integrating artificial intelligence (AI) applications into their communication activities. The research adresses the growing importanc of AI in enhancing administrative efficieney, communication transparency, and stakeholder engagement. Adopting a descriptive research design, the study relied on an electtonic questionnaire distributed to PR profesionals across various ministries and government bodies, collecting 100 valid responses. The indings reveal that while younger PR practitioners are actively embracing AI, older employees show limited engagement. Most participants acquired AI-related skills through self- learn

The Feasibility Study Report as an Effective Tool to Evaluate Investment Projects: A Solid Waste Treatment Project as a Case Study
...Show More Authors

Hundreds of infrastructure investment projects are inserted into the Iraqi government budget annually. Many of these projects suffer from suspension, delay in completion, corruption, or other negative issues known in Iraqi construction projects. This may harm the country's economic recovery due to allocating funds to useless projects from one or more feasibility studies' components. Therefore, the best solution is to pay attention to the feasibility study reports. This study highlights the importance of feasibility studies reports for investment projects and their effective role in evaluating project ideas to ensure an equitable distribution of a country's financial resources to the most feasible investment projects. This importance

: Summary The establishment of the modern Iraqi state necessitated the establishment of diplomatic relations with neighboring countries. However, during the British Mandate period, these relations remained under the management of the British Embassy, which assumed responsibility for Iraq's foreign affairs. As the political situation evolved, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs began making strenuous efforts to build a competent and effective diplomatic apparatus. Iraqi diplomatic representatives played an active role in strengthening and developing Iraq's foreign relations by implementing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' directives, which focused on monitoring political, economic, and social developments in neighboring countries. RAILLIETINA ECHINOBOTHRIDA (MEGNIN,1881) (CESTODA: CYCLOPHYLLIDEA) FROM THE HOUSE SPARROW PASSER DOMESTICUS BIBLICUS HARTRET, 1881 COLLECTED IN BAGHDAD CITY, CENTRAL IRAQ
...Show More Authors

The widespread house sparrow Passer domesticus biblicus has a close association with humans and  inhabits almost all ecosystems near human settlements in Iraq. It is exposed to different kinds of parasites in its habitats. Examining of house sparrow for the cestode parasites revealed that 25 specimens of 56 were infected with Raillietina echinobothrida. Intensity among infected male and female hosts with this cestode and its description  is provided and discussed. The present finding constitutes the first record for this parasite in house sparrow in Iraq.

CONTRACAECUMRUDOLPHII HARTWICH, 1964 (NEMATODA: ANISAKIDAE) IN THE CORMORANT PHALACROCORAXCARBO (LINNAEUS, 1758) WINTERING IN BAGHDAD AREA: A NEW HOST RECORD IN IRAQ
...Show More Authors

The ascaroid nematode Contracaecum rudolphii was recovered in large numbers from the
digestive tract of Phalacrocorax carbo collected in Baghdad area, Central Iraq. The infection
rates of the two sexes of the bird and some meristic and morphometric characters of the
parasite that allowed species determination of the nematode Contracaecum rudolphii were
discussed. This finding represents a new host record for this nematode in Iraq.

GLOBAL GREEN FINANCE AS A CATALYST FOR ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY WITH REFERENCE TO IRAQ'S AGRICULTURAL SMES
...Show More Authors

This research aims to examine the role of global green finance as a critical driver of both economic and environmental sustainability within small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises (SMEs) in Iraq. Utilizing a convergent mixed-methods framework, the study integrates qualitative interviews with key stakeholders and a quantitative survey of 300 agricultural SMEs to assess the barriers, enablers, and institutional conditions influencing the adoption of green finance. The findings indicate that, despite growing awareness and substantial latent demand for sustainability-linked investments, adoption is significantly constrained by institutional fragmentation, regulatory ambiguity, and resource limitations at the firm level. ANAPLASTIC LYMPHOMA KINASE EXPRESSION AND OTHER MARKERS AS A PROGNOSTIC BIOMARKER IN FEMALE PATIENTS WITH BREAST CANCER
...Show More Authors

Breast cancer is among the primary causes of death among Iraqi women and is a serious worldwide health concern. ALK or anaplastic lymphoma kinase, is connected to several cancers, including breast cancer.. The goal of this research was to assess the prevalence of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) with Alkaline phosphatise (ALP) and Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) together as diagnostic markers. The study comprised 60 patients with metastatic breast cancer and 60 healthy volunteers. The blood levels of the enzymes (ALP), (LDH), and ALK in Iraqi breast cancer patients are compared to those of healthy controls. It was shown that compared to healthy people, patients had breast cancer noticeably greater levels of ALK, ALP, and NDH .These biomarkers m

Synthesis and biological studies for some heterocyclic compounds derived from 2-Morpholino-1,8- naphthyridine-4-carboxylic acid
...Show More Authors

New heterocyclic compounds derived from 2-Morpholino-1,8-naphthyridine-4-carboxylic acid such as oxadiazolo, thiadiazolo – thione and triazolo-thione have been prepared and characterized on the basis of IR and 1H NMR spectra data. The hydrizide compound was utilized as a starting material for preparing of these compounds. The second part of this study involves the biological studies of some of these naphthyridine derivatives by using three different kinds of bacteria namely: Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruglnosa and Escherichia coli. The data indicated that some of these compounds have a good activity against the tested bacteria in comparison to antibiotics.
