Cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), was used as surfactant to enhance
the removal of Congo- red (C-R) dye from its solution by employing a wood of
buckthorn tree as a low cost and eco-friendly adsorbent. Different factors affecting
the sorption process like, time of adsorption, wood dose, initial (C-R) concentration
and hydrogen ion concentration have been studied for both adsorbent wood (W) and
modified wood (MW). The suitability of the two isotherm models Langmuir and
frundlich to the equilibrium results was mentioned for the adsorption of (C-R) on

The aim of the present investigation was to develop a microsponge delivery system of acyclovir to control its release when applied topically thereby reducing dosing frequency and enhancement patient compliance. The microsponges were produced by the oil in oil emulsion solvent diffusion method. The effect of different formulation and process variables such as internal phase volume, polymer type, drug-polymer ratio, stirring speed and stirring duration on microsponge production yield, loading efficiency, particle size and in-vitro drug release was evaluated. The aim of this work is to study the effect of mud compositions on it’s rheological behavior under high temperature conditions. Seventeen samples of five types of water base mud in which (fresh water bentonite mud. Lignosulphonate mud, gypsum mud, polymer mud, and salt saturated mud) were tested with different temperatures using the fann viscometer model 50-c. All the tested samples, except the fresh water bentonite mud, have the same trend reduction in both plastic viscosity and yield point with increasing temperature. This formula was derived depending on some experimental data of transmittance spectrum versus wavelengths for many ambient temperatures. Abstract: Objectives: To investigate the effect of temperature elevation on the bonding strength of resin cement to the zirconia ceramic using fractional CO2 laser. Background: Fractional CO2 laser is an effective surface treatment of zirconia ceramic, as it increases the bonding strength of zirconia to resin cement. Methods: Thirty sintered zirconia discs (10 mm diameter, 2 mm thickness) were prepared and divided to three groups (N=10) and five diffident pulse durations were used in each group (0.1, 0.5, 1, 5 and 10 ms).
