Genetic Variations of Echinococcus granulosus Isolated from Sheep and Cows by Using Fingerprint DNA Method in Iraq

The fingerprinting DNA method which depends on the unique pattern in this study was employed to detect the hydatid cyst of Echinococcus granulosus and to determine the genetic variation among their strains in different intermediate hosts (cows and sheep).  The unique pattern represents the number of amplified bands and their molecular weights with specialized sequences to one sample which different from the other samples.   Five hydatitd cysts samples  from cows and sheep were  collected, genetic analysis for  isolated DNA was done using PCR technique and  Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA reaction(RAPD) depending on (4) random primers, and the results showed:        

1-Ability of OPF-13 primer to find fingerprinting for DNA of hydatid cysts collected from cows with  

    (3) unique patterns and from sheep with (5) unique patterns.

2- Ability of OPF-06 primer to found (4) unique patterns for cows and (2) unique patterns for sheep.

3-Ability of OPF-19 primer to find fingerprinting for DNA of hydatid cysts collected  from cows (5) unique patterns and (4) unique patterns for sheep.

4-OPF-16 was unable to find the finger prints of DNA isolated from cows and sheep

Genetic Comparative Study of Staphyolococcus aureus& Staphylococcus epidermidis Isolated from Wounds, Burns and Skin Flora

One hundred specimens from wounds, burns, and skin swabs were collected
from patients laying and attended to Balad general hospital. It was found that 50

Effect of Alkaloids Extracts From Solanum nigrum L.(Solanaceae) in DNA -Plasmid PBR322 by Using Gel Electrophoresis

The Study of Genetic Variations of GCG Gene and it's Relationship to Obese in Iraqi Population

The present study conducted on 120 obese males and 50 healthy males, their age ranged from 20-50 years. The patients were divided into 3 groups based on Body Mass Index (BMI) and Central Obesity (CO), it has noticed that there is a significant relation between both indexes. The DNA was isolated from the blood of patients and applies for PCR by using designed primers for exons 1 and 3 of GCG gene. The results showed that there are mutants in exon 1 at locus 9573 (G/C) for 30 patients and locus 9864 (C/-) for 10 patients with X2 = 12.30, also it has fund mutants in exon 3 at locus 5397 (A/G) for 28 patients and locus 5434 (G/A) for 8 patients with X2 = 11.11. These mutants have a high significant effect P≤ 0.001 to cause pathogenicity.

A New Method for DNA Isolation from Bone Marrow & Sperms of White Mice

Background: A quick and easy method was developed for extraction of DNA of eukaryotes from different samples, which are bone marrow and sperms in white mice Mus musculus strain (Balb/c).
Patients and Methods: this method using high salt buffer, Ethylene diemine tetracetec acid (EDTA), Trypsine,Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate(SDS), and urea without using Proteinase-K digestion or ultracentrifugation.
Results: This method was successful in extracting DNA from different samples in eukaryotic and this DNA is suitable for Hind III digestion.
Conclusion: Without further clean-up, the extracted DNA can be used for restriction endonuclease digestion or for numerous applications.

Treatment isolated fungi from laboratory tools in some Baghdad hospitals by using biosynthesized nanoparticles

The study aims to biosynthesized of sliver nanoparticle from aqueous extract of olive leave and evaluate the effectiveness of the synthesis AgNPs against isolated fungi. The study mediating fifty samples were taken from various tools in laboratory from five hospitals in Baghdad. Treatment Missing Data of Daily and Monthly Air Temperature in Iraq by Using Mean Method

Frequent data in weather records is essential for forecasting, numerical model development, and research, but data recording interruptions may occur for various reasons. So, this study aims to find a way to treat these missing data and know their accuracy by comparing them with the original data values. The mean method was used to treat daily and monthly missing temperature data.
