Correlation between serum carnitine level and Soluble Receptors for Advance Glycation End Products(sRAGE) in Clomiphene Citrate Resistant- PCOS Women
...Show More Authors

The most frequently diagnosed condition in women at the age of reproduction is the polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).it could be related to a complex endocrine condition, due to its heterogeneity and uncertainty about its etiology, as the clinical highlights of PCOS incorporate those related to reproductive signs such as decreased frequency of ovulation, irregular menstrual cycles, decreased fertility. Carnitine plays a substantial role in weight loss, glucose tolerance, insulin function and fatty acid metabolism. Thus carnitine plays a crucial role in controlling  obesity, insulin resistance, oxidative stress that are  associated with PCOS .While, AGEs are a diverse group of reactive molecules that are formed endogenously by non-enzymatic reactions of carbonyl group of carbohydrates with free amino groups of proteins, nucleic acids or lipids. The soluble form of receptors of AGE (sRAGE) could play an important role in management obesity, insulin resistance, hyperandrogenism, oxidative stress which could be related to PCOS. This study was aimed to investigate serum levels of carnitine & soluble receptors for advanced glycation end products (sRAGE) in clomiphene resistant PCOS .Besides assessing  the correlation between serum levels of carnitine ,as well as, soluble receptors of AGE   with hormonal ( LH, FSH& Testosterone) and metabolic ( serum glucose  , serum insulin & HOMA-IR) markers in these patients .

The study included thirty women with clomiphene resistant PCOS and thirty apparently healthy women, as a control .In order to measure serum total carnitine and serum soluble receptor of advance glycation end product (sRAGE in PCOS and control groups.

The results of our study have shown a decreased serum levels of total carnitine in PCOS group in comparison with control group (48.05 and 59.73 nmol/ml, respectively), but there was no significant elevation in serum levels of sRAGE in patients group as compared with control group .In addition to a significant correlation between serum total carnitine and serum sRAGE levels (r=0.45, P-value=0.03).

In conclusion serum total carnitine level was low in Clomiphene resistant-PCOS patients in comparison with control group. Although, sRAGE levels in clomiphene resistant- PCOS patients were not significantly different from the age and BMI-matching controls, but a significant correlation between serum total carnitine and sRAGE was detected.

Key words: Poly cystic ovarian syndrome, soluble receptor of advance glycation end products (sRAGE) , SerumTotal Carnitine

Administrative procedures in various organizations produce numerous crucial records and data. These
records and data are also used in other processes like customer relationship management and accounting
operations. It is incredibly challenging to use and extract valuable and meaningful information from these data
and records because they are frequently enormous and continuously growing in size and complexity.Data
mining is the act of sorting through large data sets to find patterns and relationships that might aid in the data
analysis process of resolving business issues. Using data mining techniques, enterprises can forecast future
trends and make better business decisions. The Apriori algorithm has bee

In this article four samples of HgBa2Ca2Cu2.4Ag0.6O8+δ were prepared and irradiated with different doses of gamma radiation 6, 8 and 10 Mrad. The effects of gamma irradiation on structure of HgBa2Ca2Cu2.4Ag0.6O8+δ samples were characterized using X-ray diffraction. It was concluded that there effect on structure by gamma irradiation. Scherrer, crystallization, and Williamson equations were applied based on the X-ray diffraction diagram and for all gamma doses, to calculate crystal size, strain, and degree of crystallinity. I

The post-Corona Covid-19 world is not the world before it, the problem of perception of personality traits with two axes: the characteristics of psychological and social compatibility, and the second aspect the mental disorder during the pandemic, and the accompanying precautions and prohibitions during the academic year 2020 AD. The aim of the research is to reveal the perception of the personal characteristics of Bisha University employees (students and faculty) during the Corona Covid-19 pandemic, and to reveal statistically significant differences in the perception of the personality traits of Bisha’s members during the Covid 19 according to the scientific qualification variables (female students -faculty members),  marital st

Very‐high‐resolution electrical resistivity imaging of buried foundations of a Roman villa near Nonnweiler, Germany

Abstract<p>Electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) methods have been increasingly used in various shallow depth archaeological prospections in the last few decades. These non‐invasive techniques can save time, costs, and efforts in archaeological prospection and yield detailed images of subsurface anomalies. We present the results of quasi‐three‐dimensional (3D) ERT measurements in an area of a presumed Roman construction, using a dense electrode network of parallel and orthogonal profiles in dipole–dipole configuration. A roll‐along technique has been utilized to cover a large part of the archaeological site with a 25 cm electrode and profile spacing, respectively. We have designed a new field proce</p> ... Iris Identification Based on the Fusion of Multiple Methods
...Show More Authors

Iris recognition occupies an important rank among the biometric types of approaches as a result of its accuracy and efficiency. The aim of this paper is to suggest a developed system for iris identification based on the fusion of scale invariant feature transforms (SIFT) along with local binary patterns of features extraction. Several steps have been applied. Firstly, any image type was converted to  grayscale. Secondly, localization of the iris was achieved using circular Hough transform. Thirdly, the normalization to convert the polar value to Cartesian using Daugman’s rubber sheet models, followed by histogram equalization to enhance the iris region. Finally, the features were extracted by utilizing the scale invariant feature

Stabilizability of Riccati Matrix Fractional Delay Differential Equation
...Show More Authors

In this article, the backstepping control scheme is proposed to stabilize the fractional order Riccati matrix differential equation with retarded arguments in which the fractional derivative is presented using Caputo's definition of fractional derivative. The results are established using Mittag-Leffler stability. The fractional Lyapunov function is defined at each stage and the negativity of an overall fractional Lyapunov function is ensured by the proper selection of the control law. Numerical simulation has been used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme for stabilizing such type of Riccati matrix differential equations.

Free Head Shear Test on Decomposed Granite Soil
...Show More Authors

The study presents the test results of Completely Decomposed Granite (CDG) soil tested under drained triaxial compression, direct shear and simple shear tests. Special attention was focused on the modification of the upper halve of conventional Direct Shear Test (DST) to behave as free
head in movement along with vertical strain control during shear stage by using Geotechnical Digital System (GDS). The results show that Free Direct Shear Test (FDST) has clear effect on the measured shear stress and vertical strain during the test. It has been found that shear strength
parameters measured from FDST were closer to those measured from simple shear and drained triaxial compression test. This study also provides an independent check on

This paper presents an IoT smart building platform with fog and cloud computing capable of performing near real-time predictive analytics in fog nodes. The researchers explained thoroughly the internet of things in smart buildings, the big data analytics, and the fog and cloud computing technologies. They then presented the smart platform, its requirements, and its components. The datasets on which the analytics will be run will be displayed. The linear regression and the support vector regression data mining techniques are presented. Those two machine learning models are implemented with the appropriate techniques, starting by cleaning and preparing the data visualization and uncovering hidden information about the behavior of
