Objective: To conduct a standardized method for cavity preparation on the palatal surface of rat maxillary molars and to introduce a standardized method for tooth correct alignment within the specimen during the wax embedding procedure to better detect cavity position within the examined slides. The simple and available technique of colorimetry and indirect X-ray fluorescence determination of tetracycline hydrochloride (in the form of colored complex with iron(III) ions) and cyanocobalamine (in the form of the colored thiocyanate complex with cobalt(II) ions) is offered. The analytes were separated from the accompanying components by sorption to polyurethane foam based on ethers. The conditions of sorption separation and measurement of analytical signal of these substances are optimized. The obtained results of tetracycline drugs and injection solution B₁₂ vitamin are in satisfactory agreement with data declared by the manufacturer.

Spectrophotometric methods were developed for the determination of rantidine-HCl in pharmaceutical tablets. These methods were based on the reaction of DDQ and p-chloranil with rantidine-HCl, resulting in the formation of an orange-red and purple colored products which are quantified spectrophotometrically at 460 and 540nm in DDQ and p-chloranil, respectively. A graph of absorbance versus concentration show that Beer’s law is obeyed in a concentration ranges of 20-160 and (30-120)g/ml with molar absorptivities of 2.631 x 103 and 1.052 x 103 The optimum conditions for color development are described and the proposed methods were applied satisfactory to pharmaceutical preparations
