The species Cyclops varicans G.O.Sars (Which was recorded for the first time in Iraq ) was chossen to study the effect of photoperiods on the species reproduction growth . The chossen photoperiods were 0:24 , 12: 12 , and 24 : 0  L.D.  The data showed obvious statistical effect of photoperiods specially  24 : 0   L.D. on the mean of clutch size ,  produced eggs , no. of nauplei  , transformation time of  nauplius I to copepodid I and transformation time of copepodid I to adult stage . plant for the removal of (Pb) from the polluted water by phytoremedation technique
and study the effect of a number of parameters(Pb concentration, contact time and
pHvalues). The plant showed higher removal efficiency (99.2%) after 7 days of
treatment at 50ppm.The best removal efficiency of Pb 98.95% at 100ppm was

The estimation of binary mixture 4-aminoantipyrine and its acidic product was achieved by first derivative and second derivative spectrophotometric methods by applying zero-crossing at (valley 255.9nm and 234.5nm) for 4-aminoantipyrine and (peak 243.3 nm and 227.3nm) for acidic product. New metal complexes of some transition metal ions Co(II), Cu(II) , Cd(II) and Zn(II) were prepared by their reaction with previously prepared ligands HLI= (P-methyl anilino) phenyl acetonitrile and HLII = (P-methyl anilino) –P– chloro phenyl acetonitrile . The two ligands were prepared by Strecker’s procedure which includ the reaction of p- toluidine with benzaldehyde and P- chlorobenzaldehyde respectively. The aim of this investigation was to study the impact of various reaction parameters on wastewater taken from Al-Wathba water treatment plant on Tigris River in south of Baghdad, Iraq with sodium hypochlorite solution. The parameters studied were sodium hypochlorite dose, contact time, initial fecal coliform bacteria concentration, temperature, and pH. Many pathophysiological processes can affect the pharmacokinetic properties of drugs in people with diabetes. The present study was deigned to evaluate the influence of diabetes mellitus (DM) on the pharmacokinetic parameters of metronidazole administered as single oral dose. Twelve healthy volunteers and twelve diabetic patients were enrolled in the present study. On day 1, a single oral dose of metronidazole 500 mg was administered orally to all participants at 9:00 am after a 10-hour fasting. This was study conducted to evaluate the efficacy of the secondary metabolites from produced Metarhizium anisopliae  in potato sucrose broth, rice broth and wheat broth, against larvae and adults of Chysomya albiceps.  Results showed that filtrate of potato broth was better in mortality rates occurrence when second instar larvae were treated, the mortality rate was 46.67%. While the treatment of the larvae using the filter of rice and wheat broth gave total accumulated mortality rate (larvae and pupae) of 36.67 and 40.00 respectively. While it was 66.76 when treated with potato broth adults food with filtrate recorded high mortality rate reached to 90.00% after one week.
